Dead Rising (360)

Along with Just Cause, and now Call of Duty 3, this game is looking a 'dead' cert to get with the 360.

My brother played it at a mates house and had nothing bad to say about it. Apparently you can roam anywhere and use everything on the Zombies, be it putting a traffic cone on their heads, kicking a football at them, grabbing one of them and swinging him around and knocking down the other Zombies, you can do a whole lot and this game has got good reviews and looks well worth the purchase. Anyone seen/played it?

Gets very repetitive very quickly. Sure there are a few different weapons but you can only do 1 or 2 things with each. Not worth buying maybe rent or borrow because I got bored very quickly

I have seen alot of vids on youtube and I am a big fan of dawn of the dead so I will definitely be picking this game up when I get a 360 in a few months. chain saws guns samurai swords to dispose of the undead there seems to be a lot of fun to be had with this game.

is there some sort of system where you take photos and finish missions to get points in order to upgrade so you can get moves like tearing out zombies intestines?

Yeah there is, haven't got that far yet though. Best weapon i've used on it so far is one of those Jackhammer Drills, you know the ones those workies have when they're digging big chunks of the road up? You start it up and impale the zombie with it, he then stays on the drill whilst the drill is still spinning, blood flying everywhere and arm 'n' legs shooting off in all directions!

I haven't got that far on it yet but like Egg said, it does get quite repetitive. The AI of the characters you can save is quite annoying aswell, they always get stuck in the middle of a big crowd of zombies. Depending on how important they are, i normally just leave them to get chomped to shit or twat them over the head with a sledge hammer....

I have read that the missions are quite challenging and there are a lot of secrets and bonuses to unlock one being if you kill so many zombies you unlock megaman's arm cannon a little nod back to the good old days.

I own it

it's defo one of the best games out on the 360 ive done all the cases/missions now it took me around a week to finsh them all but there are loads of scoops i did not get to finish. I am just starting overtime mode now as i unlocked it cause i finshed all the games and got ending A. It only really gets repetitive if you do not like joging around a huge mail killing zombie's with over 200 weapons.

8.8/10

Once I got into the story I thought it was brilliant, couldnt put it down.

Quite a hard to get into and some of the boss battles are far too hard, but still a class game.

How are you supposed to kill those guys in the jeep outside? Always get wasted by them when i try and save that bint. Also, that prick who owns the gun shop.....how the fuck you supposed to do him in when he's blasting you with a 12 gauge! I've tried running over and twating him with a sledge when he's reloading, but he picks you up and lashes you over the counter and shoots you when your down.

Waiting....
I'll be getting an Xbox360 when PES6 comes out. I might get Dead Rising, maybe during the January sales. I doubt I'll play it much, coz when ever I have PES, other games rarely get a look in.

Aye, Ill be getting it either way, but chances are now my brother will buy it. I think his mate is lending me his 360 and Dead Rising tomorrow so I can get a go of it for a day to two, which isnt bad ;)

If you are the kind of guy that likes to just muck around in GTA for a few hours, drive around and enjoy the scenery or getting chased by the feds...then you have to get it.
