Duplicate players showing up?

I noticed that a few players show up twice in ML. They're the same player because I went outside of ML and played with their names from their country team and it changed over to their club team.

Y. Endo and A. Gyan?

I also went into my created players and made sure I didn't duplicate them either. Any idea on why this is happening?

Well one reason is that players in some South American teams are duplicated, because Konami (in their infinite wisdom) have created the team twice, once in the (eg) Brazilian league, and another in the Copa Libertadores.

Yeah but these two players are on the Japan and Ghana national team and don't play on any South American team.

Well I fixed it. I took them both off the national team and started a new ML and they were no longer two of them. No idea why it did that with just those two. Some weird bug.

F.Melo is also a duplicate.

He is playing for Arsenal and Man City for my Master League!

Most likely reason is they both have duplicates, so unless you replace the fakes in the NT with their duplicates at Gamba Osaka & Al Ain then they will appear in ML

I understand how duplicate players appear in ML due to duplicate South American teams or fake NT players, but Felipe Melo? Maybe you copy based him before the transfer update or something?

I signed a duplicated player in PES 2015. His doppelganger was developing slightly faster, and was +1 on most of the attributes. I was outraged, I tell ye!

Also, I did not play around with any base copying. Don't fully understand how it works so I prefer to leave those alone.

I only found this out because I'm also managing Brazil. During national selections, I saw the name appear twice next to each other.

Nice! When I enter Melo into PES 16 database, search results show me only one F. Melo who is playing for Inter. No duplicate elsewhere. Maybe this is a new Master League feature?
