Editing PS3 OF on a PC?

I just got a PS3 recently and I was wondering if there is likely to be software that allows you to edit a PS3 OF on a PC

There used to be ones for the PS2.

It let you do things that couldn't be done on the PS3 like change nationalities and register different people in the Classics

thats annoying, must be the way PS3 OF are encoded.
Guess I'll just have to overwrite existing players

Editing on the PC for Ps3

Hi Mate

I too struggled to understand the concept of this but let me explain the best I can because I never received a satisfactory explanation when i asked teh same question last year.

Basically the way the PS3 works is very different to the PS2. Imagine your PS3 as a PC rather than a games console.

You can edit away at kits and badges to your hearts content on the PC. Copying a badge to your PS3 via a USB drive for example will allow you to choose that badge as your teams badge in the game.

If you have a format for the kits this is very much the same principle.

In effect you dont actually edit the option file, more like creating the content to go into it. When you put all of teh content together and save it saved against your team(s) in PES thats when the option file is created.

You will notice that the option file on the PC is not one file but many many filesthat the option file references (plus the option file itself). The option file acts like teh config file for those of you that are familiar with editing Football Manager.

I could do the option file but there are many others out there much more talented and dedicated that me and I usually play internationals when learning the new game anyhow. My editing is ususally put to effect in personalising my game (like adding in West Brom :D).

Hope this is of some help
Thanks

Stumotor: I think you misunderstand what he is looking for.

With Pro Evo 6 on the PS2 you could copy the option file from you PS2 to you PC using a MAXDRIVE (or similar). There was a program you installed on your PC which allowed you to open and edit the contents of the option file (transfers, not kits). Also there were some transfer options the PS2 didn't offer (i.e. change nationality).
The sole purpose of this was that it was a lot quicker to complete transfers and edit/create players with a keyboard and mouse than with a controller.
Also you could export a matrix of every player in the game into an excel spreadsheet; very easy to search for stats.
You could then save the option file and transfer it back to the PS2.

I believe what stuboy is looking for is a PC program which can open and edit PS3 option files, regrettably, I don't believe that any exist.
A pity cos it sure would make life easy!
