LOL so essentially they are charging us for a Live Update, which will also reset our myclub roster and progress? Why not charge us for a poisoned sandwich or a broken condom? Why would anyone PAY to have his legends, IM players and progress wiped, only to start over in the SAME GAME?

Since the above post is the Place Holder on Xbox's site, here is what I am thinking due to a certain feature announcement of the Season Update:

Also comes with the UEFA EURO 2020™ mode - Since PES 2020 already has the UEFA EURO 2020, then will be a stand alone game that is basically what FIFA calls LEGACY EDITION but Konami is calling SEASON UPDATE. Not sure if will be released only digitally or have a Disc Version of the game as well. But because of that statement of the EUROs, that makes me think that will see a PES 2021 game and not a paid DLC for PES 2020 for the Season Update.

I think someone announced Belgian 2nd division. Do not know if it is official, cause officially KONAMI has complete radio silence about 2021.

But considering that they undone Liga Columbia in last game, i believe they will remove one league from Latin America, cause they do not want semi-licensed leagues. Maybe some other content will be removed, in the general sense, 1 step forward-2 steps back, we add this, we remove that!

If they release a DLC that really is only roster and kit updates and it nullifies all the exiting we’ve done on the same game, because that’s what it is) I seriously think I’m done as editor with Konami.

This is the perfect opportunity for them to save us a lot of time and effort.

Yeah,Every update for me on PS4 screws everything up, Also, what I`d like for them to give us is an alternative GK slot, "Rangers 3rd orange, Rangers GK orange", You would think they`d notice....not just Rangers, quite a few teams. I think they have to get it done right for 21, or i`m of to PC.....

Shhhh I was planning a project to get my PES2020 edit more update ready!
Really not convinced starting all over again for a few licences kits and players we could add ourselves is all that worth it. I’ll get the new game at 25 quid (because it’s PES, ya know?!) but if I cant use what I’ve spent months building I’ll revert back.

I can accept it with a brand new game - advancements in edit mode, game play rewrites, new stats systems, new face build formulas etc etc but for such small gains I hate the idea of losing so much personal investment.

There’s easy wins all over the place:
Alt GK kits as opposed to kit numbers 100+,
drop the manager image slots for more stadium or kit slots,
Reuse the work/memory/space for legend managers to bring back face builds - or at least allow the “legends to be over written” (you’d think they could that with partner clubs! Fergie, Sir Walter of Smith, Martin O’Neil, Sacchi, Ancelloti etc)
Remove the “classic” coloured boots (that no one uses) to make way for something else.
Bring back the boot editor
Replace the sponsor images in ML with hoarding images in stadia to make them look/feel less generic in game

Konami seem to learn, then forget in a vicious cycle.

TBH i never do online and My Club, not rearly interested in Legends or magic moments, so to me buying PES 2021 season update would be pointless, think ill save my money and put towards a PS5,

"For the first time, we will not have a demo. By already announcing that the game (PES 2021) has the same gameplay as PES 2020, the demos are taken out to show the gameplay changes. By maintaining the gameplay of PES 2020, the team decided to avoid releasing another demo. It is a job to cut part of the game to make a demo and launch it, since everyone is already playing PES 2020 and the gameplay is 99.9% the same. So the truth is that it is not necessary this year to have a demo and we are just waiting to go to launch."

Also worth noticing, it's a brand "new" game and not a DLC, and he says that "no data is transfered to the new game", so I'm guessing that edits won't be compatible. But at least, being a separate data it won't mess up our PES 2020 edits.

They should make it so you can transfer data since nothing will really change except some teams and kits. I think old Pes games like PES 5 and 6 let you do that.

They did, but I’ll never forget the year there was a bug with the previous year’s boots. It screwed up 24hrs worth of work that I did before transferring some data over.

Anybody notice on PS store club edition update is £29-99, but in the game you get it for £23-99 ?, It`s obvious you need the game to get the update so why is sony trying to fleece the masses.

Did you not read the info IN GAME on why PES 21 is £23-99 IN GAME? It is a Pre-Order Discount for owning PES 20 -- SO NO YOU DO NOT NEED TO OWN PES 20 AS PES 21 IS A COMPLETE SEPARATE GAME. Therefore there is NO SEASON UPDATE ON PES 20.
