Tbh, I have no problem with this tournament. I've played it twice and both times it was very close to be called "easy walk" with final score like 4-1, 3-0, etc. Btw, I also usually stop any attacking movement after 2 or 3 goals scored and just pass the ball between defenders
Not sure following suggestions is 100% helpful, but try it as least:
As first, use 2-3 of attacking top players in your starting 11. Somebody like Neymar & Robben on left and right flanks with good and pacey striker in front.
It looks like Konami scripting system
always checking your squad before the match not only regarding Team Spirit lvl, but also regarding quality /OVR of starting 11 players.
But don't use the squad really full of top / OVR 85++ players, this way there is more of chances you will get original Real Madrid squad with 99 Team Spirit as opponents - they are playing like a f**king machine because of the stupid scripting.
As second, keep you head always cold. Don't be angry, don't run on them with tackles and pressure. It just will make them more aggressive and quick in passes, feints and dribbling.Its not human playing against you - its robot and it always knows in advance what you gonna do next. More of aggression from your side=more of aggression from AI side, its simple.
Just cover / close a free zones in front of them with your players and be patient - they will definitely do the pass to other player,etc. Then try to find the good moment to get the ball - even if you need harsh sliding tackle for it.Anyway, the yellows/ red cards is very rare in PES 2016.
When you're on the ball, don't run straight into the attack, just keep the ball as long, as it possible. Don't hesitate to use simple short passes across the pitch and back to the defenders and keeper. Btw, Konami system is always cares about possession %, even if it was stupid
passes between two midfielders in the middle of the pitch.
When you'll see possibility to create some attacking movement - try it. If there nobody of your players in front in good positions for pass - pass the ball back, hold it and then try to create attack once again from the beginning.
Just beat them in possession % and be careful in defence - sooner or later AI will definitely give you some good chance to score. And when you're leading 1-0 / 2-0,etc in the middle/ end of 2nd half, just "park the bus" and use simple passes between your defenders and keeper to hold the ball.
And here is another one simple trick, it doesn't works every time, but may be in 50 % of cases:
When you're in tournament lobby ( I mean lobby where you still can check team reserves,etc., not pre-match menu), just move the players of starting 11 to wrong positions - goalie to CF position, CF to goalie, CB to SMF, etc.
It will down Team Spirit lvl. of your team, for example, from 99 to 72 lvl or so. Then press to search opponent team and go to the pre-match menu - you can move your players back to their OK positions there in game plan menu.
I'm doing this trick regularly in tournaments and sometimes it really helps - last time when I've played El Classico there is was Barca and Real but with 68/ 72 Team Spirit lvl, its not so big problem to beat them.
