Pretty decent squad. I can't be bothered with Spain anymore. I use to big them up with every tournement. So this year I'm not going to expect much. I just hope we can at least get to the 1/4's. I'm not asking much guys, please get your fingers out of your arses and play like I know you can.

I'm a Barça fan and a very bias one. Xavi is possibly one of the best midfielders in the world. He had to go. Stick your Guti up your arse. But with love :D

Spain has the players, but I doubt theyll do much damage in Germany.

Im quite suprised to not see Vicente, plus Raul is going to the dogs, is there a reason why he's going?

His going because Arragones can't get his cock out of his arse. I will be extremly pissed if Raul starts. Vicente is injury prone. I think he would be a risk to have taken.

I'm rooting for Spain this year. They have the squad to win it, but like previous years will they fall under the pressure?

Victor i actually think that formation could work well. Although i would like to see Joaquin get in the starting line-up, but then again i wouldn't. He's been pretty cack this year so i wouldn't be bothered if he didn't start. Apart from him though, they don't really have another out and out right winger, so that formation would work well i reckon.

You are correct Dragonfly, there is no width in that team. Joaquin is the only real wide player we've got and that is what leads me to believe that we will be playing the 4-3-3. Plus Aragones took Marcos Senna, Xavi, Xabi, Iniesta, Albelda, etc. A ridiculous amount of center mids.

John, I think it'd work as well. Reyes would definately drop to work with the midfield and the trio in the midfield is pretty strong. I think that Spain have got one of the better goalkeepers and midfielders selections.

Latino, have you got some sort of fasination with the rear-end?

I think we'll make the quarters at least. I'd love the semi-finals though.

It's not a bad squad, it just - on paper - seems to lack that something special. I just hope for once you lot do the best you can and don't fall at the first hurdle.

Isn't Raul the national captain? If so, what a joke!

I miss many players, Pernía, Morientes, Javi Navarro... but Aragones choose players depending if they are his friends, pathetic, Spain can get to 1/4, never farther.

It seems that is true, because Del Horno done nothing to warrant a place on that plane.

If he starts he is captain. I can't see how that is a joke, he's an extremely hardworker and a great role model for many younger players. Obviously he isn't in the best form, but that doesn't mean much to Luis.

I don't miss J. Navarro much. I think Puyol, Ramos, Pablo, and Juanito are sufficient. Oh and that hack Marchena. I'd prefer just to have Ramos, Puyol, Pablo, Salgado, Pernia, Lopez.
Ramos - Puyol - Pablo - Lopez
Salgado - Ramos - Puyol - Pernia

We don't need 8 defenders. It's ridiculous.

I understand why he takes Xavi though, and leaves Vicente at home. It's hard to explain why I do though

Then prepared to be pissed. Raul is gonna start whether the world likes it or not. ;)

It is a very odd decision. :ninja:

The mind of Luis Aragones works in mysterious ways...or stupid.

Now thw las "great" thing from Aragones, he have signed a psychologist for the team.

First surprise: He's his nephew.

Second surprise: He's not Psychologist, he just made a summer course.

NEPOTISM. Aragones stinks.

This World Cup could be all about David Villa™. I can't wait to see him scoring like hell! I have so much hope for him.

I'm not sure how he will fare. I expect him to grab a goal or 2, maybe 3. Spain doesn't have a too hard group on first sight, but underestimation is easily formed.

Well Spain has the best 3 GK in the world at the moment in my opinion. With his powerful and strong defense, his great midfield (all top CMF) and his deadly attack, I can see Spain in the final in this WC.
