I hope Konami release a patch enabling us to play the Europa League in exhibition mode as I don't see why it isn't there. You might never play the Europe League in PES2010 otherwise if you don't qualify for it in Master League and this seems a huge huge waste of a license.

I agree, why have it licensed if it is limited to ML only, seems pointless.
its because the competition relies on results from champions league in order for it to progress so if there was a europa league mode then champions league would have to run along side it, that would be pointless, besides the structure is exactly the same as champions league so what would be the point.

Konami have already announced they are releasing a patch for this so it can be played in a standalone mode just like the Champions League

It is not pointless man. It doesn't always have to be about Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man UTD... why wouldn't Porto, Fulham, Bremen or similar teams get a chance to shine. I've enjoyed some Europa League matches a lot more tan some Champions League matches. If Europa league is pointless then 50% of Europe's leagues are pointless because let's face it their teams will probably never see the Champions League.
Europa League in Exhibition mode means you could do a simulation of the current Europa League, you could play as your favorite team in the Europa League and it would be fun, this is a great idea.
