Hi All

This post is relevant to the Completed Option File Thread, so please do not move to Editing Questions.

I have recently discovered there's a bug with face builds / pre-set faces. From what I can tell, this bug affects FAKE PLAYERS ONLY who have been edited / base copied over.
A few players within my National Teams (who had fake players) and some players in World / Euro Classics have had their faces removed and converted to the Generic "Created Player Face". Their stats and everything else is fine.

If you do come across this, don't panic, go to the Create Player section, base copy the player who has been affected and his face will copy over. You may be able to base copy the player back over the affected player, but it may still have issues.

I'll post a link here later to a video showing the issue.

Confirm. I have exactly the same problem .Faces have some created Brazilian players and some players unlicensed nationals teams ( Romania , Zambia , Russia, Burkina-Faso...)

Base Copying the players into Created Players definitely does work.
But... I think you may have to base copy the player from the Created Player Section over a player from the Free Agents section.
Then transfer the player to their current team whilst releasing the affected player.

Once you release the affected player, I recommend creating a player in Created Player section with all abilities set to 40. Give him a name like "UNUSED", don't give him a nationality and then base copy the "UNUSED" player over the top of the affected player.

So effectively, the affected player will be in Free Agents with a rating of 40 - of which no team will sign him.

I've imported Erzo77's Bundesliga, and did not see any problem so far. Just trying to point it out so we can narrow down the problem!

Edited:

Imported an OF for all national teams, and there are about 10 over generic faces spotted so far (left with SA and Asian NT teams). Tried the base copy solution and it worked.

But as I was trying to fix a Ranger FC team import which has a lot of generic faces, I would find some faces which have no problem before getting their faces turned into generic ones as I was trying to fix those who has them.

So my recommendation is to leave them alone until Konami fix the bug as it seems to be a waste of time as they are not possible to fix.

We should way until KONAMI fix. I tried to fix Romario Vieira in LEEDS cause he was white guy for me. I went to edit face just to change his skin colour but he reverted somehow to the original one with dark skin when i entered the face/headratio menu. I tried also to edit Neto (V.Serpa) from Sport Recife that went totally snow-white-generic,but he didnt reverst automatically so i reseted him to default with (Δ) and went Latin dark tone again.

yes, it's better to wait...but i hope they will fix it quickly because i want to go on my ML ! And pray to get back our faces.

a way to fix it without resetting the player appearance, and to get your edited faces back is to select each individual player this affects, go to basic settings or ability and press x, then press o to go back. The player's appearance will be recovered. It takes some time, but it works

but when Konami will release an update to fix it, is it not gonna mess up again everything ???
I prefer to wait for now and i really hope they will release it very very soon. And i also hope they will put back the faces of M'Vila, Ntep, Lass Diarra...who were already scanned in PES 2017

Pretty annoying indeed, I edited David Neres' appearance and now in my Master League he shows up as a white guy sometimes. When I reload my Master League save he shows up as intended but then the problem shifts to other players. I never get all the edited faces as I want them to be, there are always some players with the generic white guy face..

Does anyone has the same issue - edited players reset to default. For instance Ibisevic from B and H national team was reset to default after DLC 3.0 so I went back and edited him. Checked today - default again. Bug after newest DLC?

- 2. if we applied DLC3 and Live Direct Updates
- 3. if we applied DLC3 without checking "National teams to update" and without applying Live Direct Update ?

I didn't apply update club or NT. Did live update tonite. However, I went thru free agents and found some default faces, but I checked their boots and those players were edited by me already. So when I click on boots they revert back to edited version. So I saved edit, turned off the game, will put it in later to see if they reset. Hope not.
