Guardiola was one of my favorite players when he played. He was so calm in possession, had clean technique and a great football brain. That and his clear passion for all things Barcelona make him ideal for the job. He doesn't need to add that much to the squad, just get more out of them.

Honestly, Fabregas will cost a hell of a lot more than 20million.
Anyways, Guardiola is a nice throw back to the good ol' days, but it's an awful idea. Barca are in crisis so they decide to promote a manage with absolutely no first division management knowledge? Does that not seem like a poor idea?
What you need is a manager with plenty of experience to at least guide you out of the this period, then maybe, Pep can come in and tinker with a strong squad.
And, yes, I realize that Rijkaard had very little management history when Barca hired him, but at least he had worked with the Dutch National Team and a first division team in Holland. No?

Guardiola played with our local team, here in Mexico in 2006. He barely stepped out of a small area behind midfield, say, about 6x6 meters, but damn, he had a HUGE effect on how we played. He didn't get much games because of injury, but we didn't lose any of those if I recall correctly. He was like a field commander, more of a manager than the manager himself.
A very angry man, I also have to add, it was kind of comical seeing him jump in anger, yelling at everybody. But, he kept them in line, you could feel it.
I can't say anything about his skills as a tactician, but as a leader, fuck damn, the guy was awesome. I've always wanted him to come back and manage our side. Doesn't seem very likely now...

He got relegated with Sparta :laugh: To be honest though, he had a really bad team. He did get us to the semi-finals though.

Well i've read that Valdes will stay but they're letting go of Jorquera and Pinto, and will be looking to sign a new GK.
I'm also reading that Eto'o is finally on sale and the main targets for replacement are Benzema and Huntelaar.
Benzema wasn't interested in coming before because he didn't want to be second choice, but will be more inclined to come if they offer him the '9'.
What is certain, i feel, is that we're signing either of the two, and i'd prefer Benzema.
Another possible transfer, i read, is the Et'o for Ibrahimovic swap.
I wouldn't mind seeing Zlatan in the Camp Nou.
Other possible signings, are Hleb and Mancini.

Would agree but for the fact that when eto publicly slated Eidur for that miss in the El Classico , with that in mind Eto wins .
