Don't forget to spend skill points to improve your stats after finalising your Pro and doing so continually as you gain more skill points. For a change this year, I've made my player a winger rather than a CAM playmaker. May change after some games but the increase in dribbling, crossing and fiishing outweigh the decrease in passing at this stage.

Be very careful with calls - the full-backs don't seem to hesitate to try and drive the ball low across the field if the winger/wide midfielder from the opposing flank calls for a pass with X. With O, they seem to play it aerially which is how you'd want to receive it but there will be all sorts of mess all over the pitch if that really is how it works. Previously you could sometimes call for the ball with X and get it aerially if you were far enough away.

Barn, my VP is currently left footed but has a five-star week foot rating. Bear this in mind when timing your runs, may have to check back to cross more often than not. I know you hate it but if I'm right footed on the right wing then cutting in leaves me exposed on the weaker foot.
