Fed up with this piece of shit and it's not even been 2 months...

My biggest rage about this piece of shit they call PES 2010 is online!!!

This is what I primarily play as I find single player mind numbingly boring after 3 games even on hardest level.

However I'm sick of constantly being cheated online and I'm sure this cheating will still happen in normal game play (Master League, BAL, etc)

I've just finished 3 matches. 2 against "DENNY CRANE BMF", a fag who goes 'Ajax' but turns out to be filled with superstars and not one Ajax player. I'm Zenit and with his piss poor irish connection causing button lag he narrowly beats me 3-2. 5 mins later I get a message saying

"Haha you are a retard, can't even beat me. Your kids will be retarded and you will have to push them about in their wee prams because your shit!!"

WTF is that about? Not only is it impossible to play with the button lag, but I'm getting that abuse?

My main issue here however was his connection. Why do Konami constantly allow people with piss poor connections to play online? On top of that why do they allow non-UK residents in the UK servers? I'm fairly confident 9.9/10 players would rather play someone from the UK rather than someone from France or Italy.

There should be a connection test you need to pass before you even get online and also something in place to block going into another countries server. If you wanted to play someone abroad though there should be a designated server for this. You should just be able to go into different servers and fuck other peoples games up.

The second fag I played is "KEANO999". Rated 770, constantly goes Barca but when I play him he goes Sampdoria. Now usually I stick with lower teams but with a chance to grab a serious amount of points I go Inter. Game plays alright. No serious lag or connection problems. 70 minutes gone and it's 1-1 and I remember seeing that he doesn't play extra time or penalties so decide to hold out for a draw and still get a few points. So tallest 5 defenders at the back with 3 defensive midfielders, Stankovic playing CM and Eto'o up front himself.

I'm fairly confident of a draw now at 80 mins until Palumbo sprints past Maicon :)|) and then crosses for Pazzini to out jump Lucio, Samuel and Viera to head home for a 2-1 lead!!! Again WTF!!! how can this 5'10" guy beat 3 of my tallest guys? I specifically changed my formation to mega defend and hold out for the win. What else could I have done?

Thinking things couldn't get any worse I find myself 1 on 1 with his keeper with Eto'o in extra time. What happens when I round his keeper? His last defender snaps me from behind. What happens? Full time whistle!!!! Now for the third time WTF!!!!!!

How the fuck can Konami expect to keep fans when they give us piece of shit after piece of shit every single year?!?! The game is so flawed it's unreal.

So Konami from this point of I hope you go bust. You have robbed so many people of their hard earned money it's disgusting, and you probably know deep down the game is shit but still release it anyway. You don't deserve another penny from anyone if this is the level in which you deem acceptable to produce such a high demand game. Just give up please and stop wasting everyones time and hopes.

And lastly, before the fan boy trolls come rolling out (there's always one), I don't play FIFA at all.

For the record, no, I quite enjoy testing myself against people from France, Spain, Germany et al.

You lost a few games.

Grow up.

Great reply.

Fair enough if I did lose a few games fairly, I can handle that, but that's not the case. It's the fact that it's sometimes pot luck if you win or lose. At the end of the day it still seems that the AI determines who wins. You might find that ok to randomly lose because the AI says so but I prefer matches to be determined by who's better and not feel as if I was cheated out of a win or given help to win a match.

If you enjoy playing them then you would agree that a separate server is need for people like yourself that want multi-country matches. I for one don't. If I'm in the UK server I want to be paired with someone from the UK. What's the point in different servers if the UK one is full of foreigners?

I have had very little lag in my games online, long may it continue hopefully after the lagfest which was pes 2009.

As for your defenders, even though they may be the tallest, their still not guaranteed to be the first to the ball. You see this week in week out in the premiership.

Apart from the refs being to lenient and the keepers making some bad mistakes at times, for me this is possibly the best pes so far. I forgot to mention i am using bluechampions v2 option file, which makes this game just sooo much better as the ai attacks great now.

Online is pretty much crap, don't take it serious.
So what about your record, it means nothing irl.
I get frustrated by the exploiters and jerks online too, as well as the laggers.
I quit taking online too serious and just play to have some fun when I want, if I come up against the wankers then I really don't care, let them be the pathetic little girls. I am far from the best but I have a decent record. I like ML but sometimes you just want to play online. Hopefully the online is better next time.

The game as so many exploits and bugs it's not even worth it to take it serious.

My R. Madrid ML is immense and my team is full of A class legends and tonnes of well developed players. Recently i checked out fifa 10 for the first time properly and im defo gonna buy it. I watched a Porto game i think and it looks beautiful and you just cant help but fall in love with the fluid movement. Theres a camera angle where its so far back you can see fans infront of you and the rain looks stunning. Ill be getting it for online play and the achievements will give me something to do. Pes still rocks though and online i found it to be a class act even though it wont let you leave in the pre match menu (why konami..whyyyyy!)

The only downside to pes in the clunkyness you get with teams like Porto, West Ham etc who are great in real life but in pes its like their players have 4 way movement (yes i said 4) and they pass around the back 4 till next season. In Fifa you can play as anyone you want and still have a great match. A Pompey V Wigan game in pes is a shitfest with players looking stiffer than my grandad on viagra whereas in fifa you can get a decent match out of it with some entertaining stuff happening. Pes ML is still class though and when you have a wonder team like i have its amazing.

Its a shame you dont like it offline, because thats really the only option now. There is so much cheating / abuse / racism in PES and the forums now it isnt worth bothering. Ive never lost so many games online in any version of PES and its mainly due to playing Real Madrid constantly and also button delay. I like what Konami have done with the game making it more based on passing and build up but to support that you need to have it running perfectly online. As they say above dont take it too seriously, its just not worth it anymore. The rankings are meaningless now.

What a load of nonsense. Take real life - FA Cup 2007. Man Utd were all over us for 93 and a half minutes. Who won? Oh yeah, Pompey did. It happens, it's football.

No, I don't agree that at all. You just seem to have a level of mild racism towards your internet servers, anyway, who's to say it is the people from Spain, or France, or whatever, that have the bad connections? The worst game I've had was two people from England...

What are you talking about? I remember that game as I was at it but that's got nothing to do with what I'm talking about. "It happens, it's football" - What happens in connection to what I'm talking about exactly?

I'm saying I get cheated because the AI controls the game. Are you saying Man U were cheated in that match?

And how is it racist to say I don't want to play foreigners? It's their internet connections I have a problem with, not their nationality. I agree that UK connections can still be bad but thats only about 2/10 whereas foreign connections are bad 7/10 times. Bringing up racism just shows what a deluded, PC controlled moron you are.

To be Honest From my experience on Top Player in PES, The AI does determin who wins the game. ESPECIALLY in my fave mode, Become a Legend. It's actually comedy watching the AI pass the ball around on my team with players runing directly in the direction of the pass, giving the ball away, and the CPU AI passing it about better than fucking Brazil good day. KONAMI couldn't be asked to enhance the AI, So they decided to retardify ours. And online it's just the same. except if the CPU wants one team to win.
It really wants them to win.
I mean I lost one game 5-4 all because of 'bugs' online the keeper jumped over the ball, infact over the crossbar, everytime he tried to make a save. Probably poor connection, But the person I played snt me a fair message,
"Guess who the AI Wanted to win there? lol, you were the better player."
I couldn't agree more mate.

If the AI is scripting against you...it don't matter what team you are, what formation you choose, or what players you got.

I have been spitting blood about this in PES games for years now and the scripting was actually at its very worst in PES6, which is the (shitty) game that everyone for some reason seems to remember so fondly. At first, I used to receive huge amount of ridicule for suggesting that AI in PES bends, scripts, and even 'fixes' games, But it does and always has done. The difference is now that people have gotten that used to playing essentially the same game engine, most people can easily recognise that the AI dabbles in the on-the-park affairs in a very cheap and nasty way.

If you are naive to how the 'scripting' works (which is what Konami are relying on), then it adds excitement and thrills to the game. But when you realise that their is a hand at work stacking the cards, then it just leaves you feeling apathetic (when the AI favours you) or angry (when it doesn't) towards the game.

^Yes. Scripting began with pes 6. I also said that. But to be fair, it wasn't as bad as pes 08. Pes 10 is somewhere like 6 but less. But scripting is there. Though less visible.

LOL at the OP, graet thread and fun as hell to read! If I may give you some constructive criticism.... You got way too defensive against Barca who are built to score ! You should have just stuck to your gameplan that got you the 1-1 score and maybe used couterattack and pressure with manmarking his wingers to avoid him running them down the side for the cross.... Live and learn! This is a great game even with the issues it has so dont give up! KEEP PLAYING!! :)

as for scripting... I don't buy into it! Its just "conspiracy" .... I play friends that pick Barca and I pick Juventus or Sampdoria and I constanty beat them 4-1 3-0 4-0 2-0 etc etc because Im just better. Then I played someone online yesterday and he beat me 3 times in a row 1-0 using Inter vs my Milan or Juventus, he just played better and beat me. Scripting is overrated!

shaun7

^In pes 10 yes, scripting is overrated. There's less scripting than some people claim that the game has. Now I am not saying that there's no scripting, because there is. And you can notice it when someone woho can't play pes, can score against a master (though this happens less than in pes 2009).

Nope.

Scripting has always been in PES games. But with PES 6, it was patently in your face damn obvious and it was the first PRoEvo where a n00b could beat a master.

I am playing a Premiership with my brother by using kitserver to unlock the 2nd controller in order that we can play as each others opposition, and basically there is not a single result that we don't feel suspicious about. You just know when the game is letting you play or not or letting you score or not. Probably we are experiencing really bad scripting cos we are playing a Premiership and the AI thinks it is player V CPU.

^Pes 5 wasn't like that. But agree that scripting was always there. But not so visible as in pes 08 and 09, then 6.

I never played PES2008 at all so cant really comment, but apart from that PES6 was the worst by a mile, I remember my mate who used to win all our tourneys getting beat from someone who was only having their 5-6th game on it...just down to 'luck'.

That was PES6 for you.

I have to agree the scripting is less obvious this time around. I have to say it slightly amuses me when people complain about the AI scoring, the AI is a lot poorer in this version (I have never had to play on top player before) so when they do score its almost a relief as you then know you maybe in for a game.
