Few questions about index cards (BAL)

Hey guys, here are a few questions i couldn't find the answer to in the existing threads, so i'll post them here in hope to get them answered, thanks:p

1.Do index cards (PK taker, 1 on 1 finish,.. ect.) affect the overall rating of your player?

2. Is it possible to get an index card without specifically training them? (such as passer, pin point pass, talisman,..)

3. and finally, what exactly affects the overall rating of a player? For example, Sneijder has pretty awesome stats, yet his overall rating in below 80 if i'm correct (allthough his injury proneness is a C)

1) Yes index cards do affect your overall rating

2) I'm not too sure bout that but i would think its possible. I remember seeing at the tips screen that training certain skills to a point would unlock certain cards.

3) Lotsa things affect the overall rating of a player now. The first and foremost is his preferred position. That position is then tallied to the corresponding stats that should be suitable for that position. And then the index cards.

It didn't bother me at first but some players look underated to me.
Xabi Alonso is a great player but is he that much better than Modric or Mascherano?

It is questionable cause I look at Ricardo Fuller and Bail for example, their stats are awful compared to what they can really do. Bail should have similar stats and cards like Robben and Fuller should atleast have a Trickster Card and a dribble accuracy of 88 - 90!

On the topic of cards, I posed this question already but no one could ever take it up, but the other cards like darting run,poacher and talisman are all logical and can be seen in game play but the trickster card is the one that seem questionable.
Within gameplay the player has initiate the tricks as with the other cards the character naturally moves or for a lack of a better term initiates their particular style of of play and the we the gamer uses and manipulates this in various way.

I could go on, who has the same views.
