Fifa 09 & Pes 08

I've just played FIFA 09 and compare to PES 08 .PES 08 is much better in terms of passing,tackles,shooting and player movement.Even the faces of the players looks better than FIFA 09.1 thing they improve is on the goalkeeper movement.Looks amazing when they dive and it is easier to score on freekicks.Can't wait for PES 09 to come out on PSP.

I disagree with most of this.

The passing and tackling system on FIFA 09 is amazing. The players never perform the same tackle, and have great animations when the tackled player falls to the ground.

Shooting takes a while to get used to on FIFA 09 but it's more realistic as you can't shoot from 40yards and see the goalkeeper palm it in for you.

I do agree with the player movement though, as FIFA has never had players that move completely free like PES.

I agree with your first 2 points.
I however disagree with the above point, in FIFA the player's can move in any direction whereas PES always seems restricted!

the only thing I would give PES is that the keepers react better when you press for them to come out & also in FIFA sometimes the time from when you press a button to the time it takes for the action to be carried out seems pretty sluggish, I've never found that in PES.

I can't honestly see how anyone would prefer FIFA for gameplay if they have ever watched a game of football. FIFA's statistics are too vague and general, the players are given an overall rating rather than individual stats like PES. Which means all the players are EXACTLY the same if they have the same overall rating, what PES does is ensure every player has a sense of individuality with stats such as, attack, defence, shooting, tackling, stamina, acceleration, top speed etc etc. FIFA has always had the edge as far as graphics go but in my opinion since ISS Pro evolution soccer FIFA have been miles away as far as gameplay goes.

I totally agree with u dude.100%.FIFA is miles away from PES.And the review i got for PES 09 is much better.Even the team Jerseys and facial are more in PES.

But one thing FIFA have the edge is that they have all the licensed for all the teams in the world.But i bet PES will catch up on this.But seriously,for gameplay i still prefer PES.

PES will never catch FIFA in terms of licensing...if they did then basically they've conceded the one thing that they've always had in their favour and it'd just give some people a reason not to buy FIFA anymore.
