Yeah I always wait to see what team they pick and if its a lower team I will choose one randomly or if, as is mostly the case, they pick a top team (Barca/Madrid etc..) I always pick Spurs or Fiorentina

anyone else having problems connecting to head to head matches? Generally it takes like 1 in 10 matches to work, the other 9 just don't connect.

However, with any online team match, it works perfectly? Weird.

I've always had this problem - on Fifa09 as well.

There's a new patch out today. I was hoping it was transfer&stats update, but, as it turns out, it's only for a pre-Ultimate Team update to prepare for the launch of Ultimate Team next week

I really hope they don't merge an actual bugfix patch with a data update patch. I have spent far too long editing the game for it to go to waste.

Same. I forgot I edited Sunderland's squad, so when I saw that Benjani and Kilgallon was there I thought 'Oh goody'. Then I shortly found out they haven't updated yet :/

By the looks of it, EA are waiting 'til they've finished making the Ultimate Team, getting it all sorted out, and then they're going to release to us (both UT and Jan transfers update) in a 2-in-1 patch.

I'd rather wait though, that way I'm confident all the teams' squads will be 100% up-to-date.

I read soemthing on the EA forum from one of the admins saying that something doesn't get released at a set time, it's more like a window.

Basically, we could have got the transfers first and then the pre-UT patch.

The update is out now folks. Checked this morning and found Maxi and Kacalinic (Spelling?) in Liverpools squad. Zaki at Hull and Mido at West Ham.

You just need to go into Team Management and download latest squads. The most annoying thing is that I now have to go through every teams stadium to correct the names again!!! And my laptop is broken so I can't do that easily!!! Any ideas how I can get the update without my stadiums being ruined?

You have to create a backup of the file(s) that stores the stadium names.

Then, once you apply the EA update, you then overwrite the relevant file(s) with the backup you created.

Unfortuantely, I don't actually know how to do the technical aspect of it - but that's the theory behind the process at least!

It also does the same thing with player appearances and team line ups and so on...

Got the update, and I was quite pleased with some of the Sunderland youngsters not only being included, but having a decent set of stats by EA standars in regards to players who have only played one game...

Everyone's whinging about the Default ball setting changes to the 'shitty' WC 1974 ADIDAS one. I think it's beautiful, and I'm going to figure out how to get it for selection instead of the default ball glitch.
