Fifa 11

Ali

It is happening again
Can't believe people say this game realistic. Looking at all the stupid showboating in those vids, it just looks so arcadey. Then of course there are the constant one-twos, which I am a big hater of.

Is there a fix where you loan a player for a season bu then can't buy him for another two because he "recently switched clubs"?

Fifa 11 is the worst football game ever made.

In every way it is fault and completely broken. CM is a complete shambles as well as offline and in terms of customer service it is terrible.

STEAR CLEAR OF THIS MESS OF A GAME.

Thank god i am coming back to pes.

Blimey Clyde, that must've taken ages. I think I'm only on about 55% and I'm nowhere near completing the rest of them.

^I got a red card for that tackle as I was the last man. The fucking ball went through Vidic's foot. :faceplm: I time the tackle perfectly yet still the game does me over with this bullshit.

I actually got most of them done in the first month 1/2 but I have to admit that when I got FIFA 11 the first thing I knew I was going to do was build my Pro up for playing online and joining a club. All the accomplishments look doable compared to last year (as far as I remember I only had a few to do on FIFA 10 but I could never do the diving headers and score with a backheel).

The longest to do was defence since I mostly play RM. Although I do play RB a lot and do a good job but regards to clean sheets and the amount of tackles to win, ratings and man of the match awards it pretty much requires a lot of help from all the defenders and goalkeeper.

Managed it in the end now my VP is 97 overall. Now I can just focus on kicking ass.

It's not funny because football games are VANISHED. FIFA 11 IS INDEED THE WORST FOOTBALL GAME EVER MADE.
Not trying to start a pes vs fifa war as I haven't played pes 11.
I'm just saying that fifa 11 is broken to a point where it deserves the title:
WORST FOOTBALL GAME EVER MADE.

It doesn't look like it, because it has the looks of real football with some nice animations and stuff, but when you take time to analyze the game, you'll realize how much better fifa 10 was in comparison.
I can do a huge list of what was better in ffia 10.

The only thing fifa 11 got better is the long shots. But other than that, the game is rubbish compared to fifa 10.

That's your opinion, but I literally could no longer play FIFA 10 because of all the people online who just 'ping-pong-passed' and used all the 'cheat' tactics to gain the upper hand in a match.

On a different note, I scored a screamer with David Silva, need to upload it to EA later :)

Something I've noticed a lot of people do online is - especially when using Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid - using chip through balls. They usually target Messi, Ronaldo and Anelka. It makes it easy for me, since it's so predictable, but it gets so boring. They often do it blindly, without thinking about it. Just long through ball. It must be an exploit.

Well, a lot of people still think it is. It seems to be easier to control your defenders off the ball, so it makes it relatively easy to intercept the passes.

Fifa 10 may have had the ping pong passing BUT 11 HAS THINGS MUCH WORSE.
Scripting
Players not responding to my command well
Much less control when dribbling
Predictable. REALLY PREDICTABLE.
Passes aren't skill based. Passes are decided as hit or miss by the AI BEFORE THE PASS IS MADE. With that said, I much prefer ping pong rather than pre determined passes.
Oh and you also have much less control when defending.
I just played fifa 10 and 11 back to back and the difference in control in incredible. In fifa 10, you could try to read your opponent and it actually took skill to defend.

In fifa 11, it's all about pressure and AI pressure (which is predictable). There's no positioning at all.
In fifa 10, I could really defend well and make well timed tackles
In 11, this is reduced so much because of the game being predictable and because of the fact that the game offers less control overall.

So overall, fifa 10 is much better as it offered a game where it actually took skill to play unlike in 11.

I understand that you don't like FIFA 11. That's cool with me. I respect your opinion. I am finding it hard to believe you are sincere when you say FIFA 11 is the worst football game ever and you are acting as some kind of preacher trying to convert us to the 'light'. That is when you go from sharing your opinion to just being a troll.

As for me, I'm having a lot of fun playing FIFA 11. I love playing it online. Mainly Be A Pro and Pro Clubs but I still enjoy it.

It is my opinion when I said that I hate fifa 11. But the things I mentioned aren't an opinion. BTW I didn't come here to convert anyone.

Okay, I'll just take this example.

Oh and you also have much less control when defending.

That is a quote from you, my friend. Now let see what Dragonfly posted just before you.

It seems to be easier to control your defenders off the ball

To me, that seems like an opinion. Maybe your 'fact' is a bit flawed because you are shit at the game. That's just my opinion.

I seem to manage defending fine and it isn't a case of just switching to the defender then tackling. I make sure I time my tackles without drawing my defenders out too far and being aware of any strikers looking to split my defence. I also sometimes make use of the CPU to put pressure on a player while I control the other defender to stay in position.

That being said, I play as a RM in Clubs and I also find it very easy to get past the defence. Maybe it is because I am awesome but again that is just my opinion.

Does FIFA 11 have flaws? Yes. For me those flaws are when someone shoots and the ball goes right through the defending players foot instead of being blocked/deflected and hits the back of the net. Same for when you tackle and your players foot clearly goes through the ball and either ends up with the striker through on goal or being fouled because he hasn't touched the ball.

Also inconsistencies with the referee. Last night every time I broke on the wing the bastard knew he wouldn't catch me so he just kept sliding from behind. Each one of those tackles never brought me down but not once was he booked for any of those fouls. Although that happens in real football too so maybe the game is spot on with that.

Apart from those 2 that I mentioned, most of my problems came from online problems like randomly kicked out of a match, struggling to play Pro ranked match etc but I have experienced worse with PES unless it is now fixed. Last time I played PES online you couldn't do 1 v 1 without severe lag nevermind 11 v 11.

I was refering to instances when I said that you also have much less control when defending.
Not exactly off the ball. But the movement. The general movement seems more strict than in fifa 10. This is not an opinion, this is what the game truly is. You feel that you have more control, when in reality you have less. I just played 10 and 11 back to back in case you're wondering where I got this from. Both on world class.

If you mostly play online with 1 player than I agree, fifa 11 is good, but against the AI while controlling 11 players, the game offers much less than ffia 10 in terms of control, and general movement.

I guess the biggest downfall of fifa 11 is the AI and it's scripted moments.

Also the passes. I TRULY HATE THE PASSES. Seems like they're predetermined.

But as I said, if you play with 1 player, you won't notice these.

I think you misread/interpreted my comment incorrectly. Perhaps you didn't read my earlier post that my last comment was an extension of. I was saying some people (online) make matches boring and predictable by using the same tricks continuously. In this instance, I was referring to chipped through balls. I followed it up by saying, since it's easier to control your own defenders, it makes it easier to intercept the passes. That's not a critisicm of the game, but some people's lack of diversity.

When playing against someone (off-line), FIFA11 is easily one of the best, if not best, football games I've ever played. My only issues with the game is the CPU AI opponent on Legendary. The AI opponent seems to repond whenever I press a button. For example, if I press tackle, the player I'm trying to tackle will turn away instantly, as if by pressing the tackle button, I'm controlling my player and the AI opponent.

I never stated that I had a problem with the game or found it difficult. If anything, I think I'm better than average, but nothing special. I've beaten people using 5 star teams with 1 star teams and have been complimented on my ablity.

EDIT: I'm adding that last sentence on to my CV.

I have noticed the same thing regarding the AI seeming to know exactly where and when you're gonna tackle a player, at times. Because of this, you can get a Galway United midfielder looking like Lionel Messi as he dribbles round your Manchester United team. Another thing that annoys me is that no matter what team, the 360 degree roulette move thing gets whipped out, often ending in me getting a player sent off as I go in for what would have been a perfectly timed tackle. Often happens with the last man as well which is absolutely ridiculous.
