I've ordered from Amazon as it seems that the credits could be useful for unlocking various extras and I've not got much interest in the All Star Team.

get out of here with that fantasy driven, dream world of a football club stuff. Realistic rosters with reasonable transfers only way to play any game. Its this fantasy playing that is messing up all sports games, now there are magic boots, experience points, career modes with the CPU unreasonably selling players. This style of game mode is allowing EA to kill franchises like FIFA and Madden. Not sure what they have done to NHL13 but I bet similar action.

It's game modes like Ultimate Team that is keeping the franchise alive.

Just look at the number of YouTube vids and the number of views they have.

Playing as a campaign with a team's normal roster gets very boring, very fast.

I assume you won't be taking part in Fifa Clubs this year, then?

I hope the code works this time as it didn't for Fifa 12. I didn't really start getting into Ultimate Team until about March though so I didn't bother looking into a solution. I had only played it briefly in past games but this time around I finally got hooked into it and it's great fun.

The only advice I can give (and I will take on board my own advice this year) is to only open packs during "Happy Hour". It increases your chances of getting an IF player, which you can sell for a hefty, hefty profit.

If you're on Twitter, follow the EA channel and they'll let you know when Happy Hours are.

The Web App goes live Tuesday night. Make sure to visit it daily up until release to get bonuses (such as free coins, free packs etc) :thumbsup:

You guys up for clubs this year? You can count me in, just depending if I spend my time on PES instead. I'll be getting both this time round, PES looking great on the demo.

Saying that, does PES have something like clubs? Be a legend maybe.

I scored a scorcher with Giovinco!

How bad a the refs? Seems to be that most fouls result in yellow cards. Also, my keeper made a PERFECTLY good challenge on the attacker. Ref gave a penalty and sent the keeper off! :facepalm:

Also, WTF is up with the commentary? Seems to keep banging on about mystery injuries, and how my star striker will be out for a few more games even though he's clearly on the pitch!

I keep playing the FIFA and PES demos back to back. I can't see how anyone can use the old tired saying that FIFA is for casual gamers and PES for hardcore. The pitch is alive in FIFA, PES is just dead. There is no huge difference in AI...its not like PES has some incredible attacking AI.

Wish this game was out right now. Have some strange fetish to play the Belgium team, interesting squad, and really want to get into the weekly match feature that I didn't do in 12. September 25th is still a long time away.
