I've just set my team up, got a few free packs to start off with, which is nice of EA.

And I've got Eboue and Walcott! :w00t

Correct. I tried searching for 4-4-2 players to fit my formation and there wasn't an option to do so.

I'm currently just building a cheap, BPL side, no-one over 400 coins. Used my 2,000 free coins to sign Friedel, Gibson, Noble, Brunt and Bendtner.

For a badge, that's pretty damn good.

I'm going to start off playing the wide 4-1-2-1-2 (with RM and LM rather than two CMs). That way Anderlecht's Suarez (LW, 78) can get into the team easily enough.

EDIT: Actually no....the 4-1-2-1-2 with central midfielders. Better chemistry. I remember using an RM and LM in my Serie B team yet CMs in my Serie A and Best teams. Christ, I can't decide :facepalm:

Damn. Go with what you're comfortable with man. If you can play well with the formation and the players you've got, a bit lower chemistry shouldn't make too much difference.


I'd put Santa up for sale but I'm guessing nobody would touch him with a bargepole. Everyone likes their pacey players and Santa's everything but that :lmao:.

I could sell Walcott right here right now but I think I might keep him. Him and Bendtner up front gives good chemistry for my Premiership W.I.P team.

It also annoys me how some Premiership players are deemed Gold quality, and others Silver. For instance, I have Adam Lallana on the right wing so thought "hey, Nathaniel Clyne would be good"... He's silver. And because he's got a high rating for a silver, and he's pacey, he's pricey. Same goes for Matthew Lowton, of Aston Villa.

I got Puyol and Arteta in my free packs. Sold them for about 5k, and invested that and other money in Evra (2,900) and Hummels (6,100).

Reason? Chemistry. I had about 40-50 chemistry with my makeshift team and got slaughtered 4-1 by Zenit. Players just don't move, are always offside etc. Now with a mix of Bronze, Silver and Gold German players (3 1/2 star rated team) and 100 chem, I'm bossing.

Side note, crossing/heading and finesse is heavily OP. Pace whoring has been nerfed.

Yes, although tonight is a bit risky as the number of people opening packs will heavily outweigh those bidding.

I am putting together four teams at the moment:

-Serie A
-Serie B
-Germans
-Italians

Paying particular attention to the first two, if you have any players that you want to get rid of, let me know. The Italian team will probably come together after I've got a Serie A team as I suspect a number of those will be eligible. My main focus to begin with is the Serie B team as it will be cheap to put together.

I've got a German team. No one special, highest rated is Muller. May spunk a couple K on Esswein.
