Fixed Keepers and great sim gameplay

Hey everyone like most of you ive been left disappointed by the horrible goal keeping and blind ref in PES 2016. A shame too considering it has so much going for it.
The good news is after tinkering and testing all weekend Ive found the solution to the keeper probems, slightly increased penalties called and vastly improved the sim feel of the game.
The bad news? It will require time consuming player edits. But rest assured the results are well worth it. I suggest making the changes first to your team of choice, a strong opposing team and a weak opposing team. Play a few games and you'll be amazed.
Personally I play on top player with full manual setting, but I can't imagine these edits not improving any settings you may choose.

The following edits will need to be applied:

Keepers
Reaction +10
Coverage +10

All Outfield players
Offensive Prowless +5
Dribble -5
Ball Control -10
Low Pass -10
Defensive Prowless +5
Kicking Power -10
Speed -5
Balance -12
Stamina +10

These changes will result in better keepers (no more cheap goals), more penalties, better offensive runs, better defending, Stamina depletion not over exaggerated, reduces scripted play when CPU wants to score.
An all around more realistic feel can be noticed with more missed shots, imperfect passing, more stumbles, more loose balls, less perfect touches and dribbling more true to real life.

Best of luck everyone, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Great! Thanks for taking the time and trouble to research that and post the results- I read your posting earlier on OperationSports.

I'm getting the game tomorrow (can't take any more of F*** 16), so I'll be sure to implement those settings before I start a Master League!

You're quite welcome. I'm really excited about the these edits cause combined with the gameplay of PES 2016 I honestly think this is easily and by far the best game of football gaming ever found.

Be warned though, you're gonna have to work to score, but when you do, you'll be jumping out of your seat and pumping your fist in celebration. SO satisfying

Going to try to upload a full game video to Youtube tonight so everyone can see the difference.

Well, I love the player ball-reception and control of PES 2016, I just hated the (lack of) goalkeeping. I can even live with poor refereeing to an extent, but goalkeeping is obviously fundamental to the game.

I relish the idea of having to work for my goals, I'm not one for easy settings and scoring crazy amounts of goals (or crazy amounts of goals scored against me). Yeah, PES 5 and 6 made me jump out of my seat when I scored occasionally, that's what I miss.

I'm going to use manual passing and shooting- thanks again, I'm really looking forward to it!

Increase GK abilities is OK because GK's abilities are underrated... but on outfield players I think it might work only if all players would have same stats.

What difference there is between play with a strong team with edited low stats and play with a middle or weak team without edit ???

When I play with middle teams, I play with low stats players like edited players (like you propose) and I see the same problems (IA scripted, lack of fouls, etc...)

No cards, Pks, and fouls annoys me so much. A real game has a few cards a gane. Ive had about two and im half was through ML

Its the combination of keeper stats being increased and kick power being lowered that fixes the keepers. Defensive stats being increased also puts your defenders into better position to block shots that your keeper might not have saved.
I should note though that you can still score the occasional cracker even with kick power lowered. The changes just seem to get rid of all the garbage goals that we were so disappointed keepers were letting in.

You still get the difference difference between high end and low end teams.
That's why I encouraged people to try the edits with a few teams of varying strengths first to see the difference.

How long did it take you to implement all the changes to all the players? Also, by outfield, did you mean wingers/strikers?

Thanks for the effort to improve everyone's experience!

I'd say it takes about 10 minutes a team. You get faster as you do them and memorise which stats to edit and by how much.
By all outfield players I mean everyone on your team who isn't a goal keeper.

hey fellas I learned this on another board and I thought I should share, Ive not fiddled about with any of the stats but I've noticed a difference when when editing a team to give every DM,CB and some CM's the "destroyer" play style and Ive given wingers, wing backs and some CM the track back skill. Do these changes and pes 2016 becomes a different game, The cb will close you down and not let you enter the box and its hard to just dribble through midfield. I wish there was a tool to do all this quicker
