Does anyone think that Football Manager is shit? Because I sure do. It's just a spreadsheet with a load of data, where's the fun!? The only manager game that was good was the 97/98 one. These new ones are crap, I wish I could put up more of an argument against it but I can't because that's all there is, a spreadsheet.

After I got sacked from Norwich in a mere 8 months, I'm now at Real Oviedo. Had a budget of £0, yet had a wage budget of £51k when only £17k was being spent....

Already had Montero and Guardiola in the squad and I've signed some well known players, like Vieri and Mokoena (Aaron, the Blackburn one). Could've signed some other famous ones like Hasselbaink etc. but they aren't good enough.

3 days after getting Vieri, my chairman told me that he wanted a high profile player unsure.gif But he would let me sign anyone I wanted, which was good. Somehow I managed to get two- Ernane for £2.5m and Alexei Yeremenko (known to most as Eremenko) at the end of the season for £3.5m.

Playing a strange formation, 3-2-3-2. Three centre backs, two defensive midfielders, right mid, centre mid, left mid and two strikers. The five defensive players never go forward, and the five attacking ones always push on. So it's almost a 5-0-5, American football style with a team of defence and team of 'offence'.

Won the league in my first season with Barca, won other little things like super cup and World champ which dont really count. Got the the Champions league final, but had Puyol, Marquez, Messi, Xavi & Deco out. Eto'o was playing his first match in about 2months, lost the match 1 -0 (werder Bremen) - the injuries/suspension definetly lost me the match but meh.

Signed Rafina, Xabi Alonso, Vincent Kompany & Lopez (LB) in the summer. Oh and Riquelme + Rafinha.

Since the Christmas break my Milan team have started playing poorly yet there is no problem with morale or anything else. Too much pudding? :mellow:

Been playinf FM 07 non stop now :D was totally loving it with Real Madrid, however its not as easy as you may think with a big team like Real...you start with £7million to spend or so, I've now just finished my 3rd season(which was looking to be a disaster but I came back and won La Liga) my balance is at £143million now :D

However midway through my 3rd season I was ready to quit the game, mainly because all the talent in the game was 30+ , eg. Sheva/Beckham/Ruud/Ronaldo/Lampard etc etc... and theres no where near as much young talent in the game, so my squad was getting very weak!

Im enjoying it again though now that I bought Nani & Llorente :D

Been playing as Valencia, got off to a great start, second in the league after 16 games, only conceded 5 goals (3 of which were in one game). I beat Chelsea twice in the CL, 2-1 both home and away. Also beat Barca 2-1 away. Villa has been good so far, 7 goals in 11 starts, but Morientes has been god, 12 goals and 3 assists in 12 starts.

Drew Celtic in the next round of the CL, and I'm looking to offload some players so I can get another striker, if both Villa and Moro get injured (which has happened once already) I'm fucked.

just lost riquelme for 3 months :( but my team has rebounded thanks to nihat and cani going on ridiculous runs

also lost forlan and senna to 5 game suspensions at the same time

Got a bit bored with my Valencia game, as I had basically after 1 season assembled the ideal team, signing Bodmer, Baptista, and Kaboul. So for a bigger challenge I started with Reading. Picked up Mokoena (Blackburn one), Karkouri, and Mcbride. First match was away to Newcastle, despite being 2 down after 12 minutes, I'd say the match turned out quite well.

I started my first ever FM07 game with Liverpool, after a result of a coin toss. I have to say that I'm pure shit when it comes to the EPL. I'm in the 18th position! But I am red hot in the League Cup and CL. Bellamy has been very good for me so far. 11 goals in 20 games. Gerrard, Alonso, Crouch have been key players too. I've had some changes to the Liverpool squad at the beginning. Bought Van den Borre and Marlon King. Sold Dudek, got Carson back into the squad. Also sold Sissoko. It's not been good so far, yet I like it this way, very challenging. I've had very bad losses, 2-0 at home to Chelsea, 2-0 away to United, 3-1 away to Arsenal. I need to bounce back soon. King was shit during the first 10 games (but red hot during CL matches 5 goals), but after a little formation change, he's been scoring again. Last game was a cracker.

Away to Watford, they went 2-0 up in the first half. Second half, King scored to make it 2-1 in the 70th minute and Alonso hit a last minute free-kick in the 90th minute. Stoppage time though, Watford scored! 3-2. I was very depressed with that.

Anyway, Im in the market looking for a good centre back. Hyppia is getting past it. Agger is not really impressing me, which leaves Carragher the only one standing out.

Any suggestions?

Can't believe you bought Marlon King. :laugh:

You made a huge mistake in selling Sissoko aswell...you could try getting Van Persie, shouldn't be overly difficult, but I'd need to know your finances to recommend a defender.
