whats the specs of your pc?
You might have the option of adding more/faster ram.

Well I spent nearly a grand on it all a few years back but gave up after it was out of date about a year later. That's the only thing that annoys me about PC gaming :realmad:

My Specs are:

3 Ghz processer (Not dual core)
1024MB of Ram (which was plenty when I got it!)
Nvidia Geforce 6800 (I think?) 128MB graphics card.

Think that only just makes min specs on FM 2009! :crymore:

You'll be fine mate, get that Gamebooster, have the game screen resolution on Windowed so you can alternate between Internet & FM easily. Don't have too many programs running at once and you should be ok.

If you need any help, give me a shout and I hope it all works out for you..

At first I did not like the 3D engine at all, but now I love it.
I’m really excited about the new league editor.

Wel I think you could add more ram. You could get 4gig of ram. Which comes in a pair of 2gig sticks. That would make a hell of a difference to your pc.
You could also upgrade the graphic card if you wanted had the money for it.
But the ram would cheap as chips. FM I dont think is that graphic intensive. More number crunching.

He'd have to be careful though - getting 4GB RAM but keeping a single-core 3Ghz processor will make the processor the bottleneck.

Depending on the make of CPU and motherboard he may be forced to buy DDR RAM which is scarce and therefore more expensive than its worth. AMD processors used DDR back then, Intel used DDR2 and that is in the process of being phased out as DDR3 takes over.

Demo released yesterday afternoon

Hello All!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the immediate availability of the FM 2010 Gold Demo. That’s right; it’s here, earlier than expected!

All of us here at SI believe that FM 2010 is our best game yet, but we know that you will be the judge of that and welcome your feedback. So let us know what you think of it on these forums.

We have always worked closely with the community to help us shape Football Manager, but I’d like to take the opportunity on behalf of everybody at SI to thank all those involved in the beta testing programme and to all of you for continuing to support us.

Over the past 12 months we’ve taken some risks by changing the way we work in an attempt to deliver you better games from the get go. We think we’ve achieved that starting with FM 2010 and we intend to go from strength to strength.

Onto the FM 2010 Gold Demo and all the details. The demo comes in two flavours, both “Strawberry” and “Vanilla”. The strawberry demo is the full package and complete experience, the vanilla demo is a light version which has been stripped down and is significantly smaller in size.

The strawberry demo will be available from a variety of places starting with Steam (PC only with Mac to follow soon), then torrents, then direct downloads, and these will be listed below when they are made available. The vanilla demo is available exclusively via Mirror Football.

The vanilla demo includes:

Quickstarts for the following countries: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales

Language packs: English only

Stripped assets: including no player pictures, club logs, competition logos, sounds, etc

The strawberry demo includes:

Quickstarts for the following countries: Brazil, Denmark, England, France, Italy, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Wales

Language packs: Danish, Dutch, English, French, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish

Full assets: including player pictures, club logos, competition logos, etc for where we have the license. Full pitch textures, stadiums and sounds.

We will will continue to update this thread as and when the demo becomes available in its various forms across various platforms and services. If you have a link to share, let us know and we’ll add it in. If you are using the torrent route, we would greatly appreciate if you could seed the demo as much as possible to help others get it too.

Cheers,
Neil

Played the demo, for a little while. Seems a lot more in depth. Pleased with the number of options whilst working with tactics. Pretty much guarenteed to buy it.

I'll play 09 to death and get the full one for this in mid December.

The tactics and graphics are looking much better already.

Played half a season on the Vanilla version, just starting one on the Strawberry one. I was very very impressed with how in depth the game was, the menu's look so much better and are easy to grasp. I am 100% going to buy this game.

I just played the demo, and I’m definitely going to buy the game. It is as has been said, a lot more easy to navigate and more in depth in the tactics section. The new editing of leagues is also something that has me very excited.

Just picked it up. I'll give it a bash later. I didn't try the demo, but I heard good things.

I heard shops were selling it today - bit odd but supposedly widespread.

I'm yet to acquire my copy.
