After my Lyon game crashed (thank you) I started over with AC Milan. Pato and Huntelaar scored like crazy (though Sampdoria's Pazzini is unstoppable in my game, and took the scorer's trophy - he's running away with it this season too). The first season I bought (in dollars):

Verratti for 3,2m total
Angel Di Maria for 4,3m (leading the league in assists)
Kryvtsov for 4,7m

Sold:
Flamini for 8,5m
Borriello for 12m

2nd season I had about 120m to spend  I released a few players, as I couldn't get rid of them for money:

Inzaghi (Lazio)
Dida (picked up by Juventus)
Storari (Atalanta)
Favalli (Gallipoli)

Also tried to re-negotiate Ronaldinho's contract, he's making 300,000 a week and he wants 300,000 a week for the next 3 years :faceplm: I bought Akinfeev and Gourcuff, and sold P.E. Aubameyang and Ambrosini. Defense seems shabby at times.

I'm trying to flog Flamini and Gattuso now that its January and I've just signed McDonald Mariga but nobody will sign them presumably due to wage demands. Still toying with getting rid of Borriello and I too cannot shift Dida (to be fair my best goalkeeper at the minute), Favalli, Storari or Inzaghi. I tried to sign Favalli and Storari for Triestina but they refused.

Thank you for reading.
I got the game for Christmas and have started a game with Fulham. Starting with a £500k budget, so far I've signed Sergey Krivets for £475k and the ageing pair of Christian Vieri and Henrik Larsson on a free transfer and for £275k respectively. Maths whizzes amongst you will notice that that comes to more than £500k. Selling Andranik to Wigan for £1.7 million explains that. Aside from that, I've loaned a few players out, nothing exciting.

Overall, I'm happy with my squad. Kamara demanded a transfer to a bigger club but I told him to shut up and stay and he did. I've turned down bids for Hangeland (Juventus) and Dempsey (Lyon) and I don't intend to make any big sales.

So far my record is 10P 8W 1D 1L, though this is mostly friendlies and European qualification games which we'd be expected to win, so not much can be read into it.

Krivets is in my Milan team, same fee. Looks a very good all-round player and Fiorentina have made a January bid of around £2m.

Krivets was picked up by Feyenoord twice, in my Milan game on one computer and my Ajax game on another.

In my Milan game, Zambrotta, Seedorf and Nesta are in my coaching staff, as are Litmanen and Giggs. Gattuso says he wants to be a coach when he retires. Verratti is currently a wonderkid, and I've signed Jordi Alba as a back-up for Di Maria. Giacomo Beretta is a back-up for Dzeko, Huntelaar and Pato (a glorious strike-force). Albin Ekdal is turning out to be a fine midfielder, he's leading my scoring charts (also because I rotate my strikers on one position).

I loaned out Lukaku, Castaignos, some very promising youth players, and sold Fausto Rossi to Fiorentina, with a buy-back price of 16,5m. I'm hoping to make it a team with more Italian players, my scouts keep recommending Palombo, Guarente and Balotelli, and I've been offered Giuseppe Rossi twice. Though the youth system is churning out some very good prospects, it seems Inter Milan is doing better on that level.

I won the Serie A twice in 3 seasons, and reached the Final of the CL last year - I think Bayer Munich beat me 2-1.

Antonini refused a new contract and signed for Lecce I think, I wanted to keep him around because he can play both right and left and doesn't really complain. Jean Pierre Papin is still in the game too, plays for a French amateur club but you can sign him :D

Real placed Raul on the transfer list in my second year

I managed to get Bristol City to the top of the Championship after 16 games, 3 points clear with a game in hand.

Best signing was Marcel Seip from Plymouth for £1.9m.

David Clarkson has 14 goals and is the leagues top scorer and Nicky Maynard has 7. Both are my starting strikers.

January transfer window opens next month and i need a LM/LW. My scouts keep recommending Chris Brunt, i might make an attempt to sign him as i need a decent freekick taker. However i will need to shift some of the deadwood within my team as there is 2-3 players that dont get played often and want to be first teamers.

Started playing with the mighty Elgin City.
Where big crowds are ones that are over 200!
The team needs major work.

I am into the 14/15 season. This is a season-by-season breakdown of my game:
09/10: Started with Man City. Finished 1 point behind Chelsea, who won their final game in the 85th minute. I won the FA Cup. I also took over Ivory Coast after the ACON, and in the World Cup, I beat Argentina 3-0, but lost to France 1-0 in the 2nd round.

10/11: Still at City. Left Ivory Coast. Won the title easily, and also won the Champions League, scraping past my nemesis Chelsea 1-0 in the final.

11/12: Was disgusted by the amounts I was spending at City, so I left for sunny Sevilla. Ended up winning La Liga. Took over Belgium, and steered them to the Euro's (ahead of Italy). I got to the quarter finals (ahead of France) but lost to Italy again.

12/13: Due to France and Italy sacking their manager, they hired Wenger and Ancelotti, while Ferguson retired; so I decided to return to England; Chelsea were the team I chose. Capello also retired, so I became England manager. I won the title, and Chelsea's first Champions League.

13/14: Still at Chelsea, I won the title again, and the league cup, but this time I lost the CL final to Madrid. I noticed that Chris Waddle had managed to steer my beloved Wednesday to 22nd in the Championship, with 3 games to go, so I created a new profile (Des Walker...) who saved them from relegation. With England I finished 2nd in my WC group (behind... Italy) but somehow manager to win the tournament anyway.

14/15: I retired Des Walker, and left England and Chelsea with my main profile, and took over at Wednesday, thanks to some good free and loan signings, I am hovering around the top 8 or so.

---

Anyway, has anyone used the League Editor? I want to try out a few scenario's, namely the two-tier Premiership, and also a European Superleague. I can't really get it to work though.

Woo Woo Woo
I'm just entering 13/14 myself, with Liverpool.

Quick run down:

09/10: Won the CL and finished a disappointing third in the league.

10/11: Won the Premier League, The European Super Cup, the Club World Championship and retained the CL.

11/12: Won the League, The European Super Cup, The Club World Championship and the League cup.

12/13: Took over England, won the League, the League Cup, the FA Cup and the CL.

I've just had a consortium take over and I have a 100+ million to play with, but I'm considering resigning and taking over someone else. Problem is, I only have the English leagues running so there's not much potential. Thinking of leaving England too. There's not much talent coming through and I don't get the same satisfaction. Only made it to the semis of the Confederations Cup too, which didn't please the FA.

Team:

Adler

Johnson
Insua
Skrtel
Toprak

Masch
Aqua-Man
Robben/Wilshire
Gerrard
Gourcuff - He's unreal

Torres

Others:

Enyeama

Carragher
Novais - Portuguese regen.
Kompany
Drenthe

Michael Johnson
Rakitić - Got him on a free transfer :joel:
Riera
Wilshire
Weiss

Bendtner - Villa paid 17 million and he scored 57 in 2 seasons, I got him for 7.
German Pacheco
Dalla Valle

As you can see, my teams isn't exactly all that, at least not my subs, but they've served me well when called upon. I think with a world-class defender and right winger, I'd be untouchable, but like I said, I think it's time to move on.

I'm still playing '09, but having steered Stoke to consecutive 3rd place finishes I was offered the England job. So many re-gens atm.

Line-up is something like:

Akinfeev

Apam - RB
De Ceglie - LB
Fazlic - Bosnian re-gen
Hallam - English re-gen

Larralde - French re-gen/DMF
Kuzmanovic - CMF
Obertan - RW
Babel - LW

Walter - CF
Saivet - CF and phenomenal.

Notable others who aren't re-gens:
Shawcross - literally just signed on a free as he was unattached. He's 30 but he'll be good backup and will fill up my homegrown player quota
Gérson
Opare
Mikel
Downing - trying to sell
Milner
Skolnik
Bafetimbi Gomis

That Larralde fella is brilliant. Signed for £2.5m and he's probably the best DMF in the world atm.

Silvio Berlusconi is looking to step down in my Milan game :D

Gattuso is now a coach, but Pirlo is still with the team. Pirlo and Pato are the only two that have been with the team from the start. There's some youth players like Giacomo Beretta hanging around but I loaned him out most of the seasons (Dec. 2015 now).

Kaladze is now a scout at Inter
Flamini is at OM
Borriello at Chievo
Dida is a scout at Figueirense
Ambrosini is at Vicenza, at 38
Inzaghi is a manager at Belenenses
Favalli is a coach at Verona
Zambrotta is a coach at Bari

Nesta, Seedorf and Gattuso are coaches for me, as well as Giggs, Litmanen, Bonazzolli, Rocchi, Les Ferdinand, Thuram and Toldo.

Papa

Thank you for reading.
Still on my first season with Fulham as I'm taking it slow. Sitting in ninth place, through to the second knock-out round of the Europa League having knocked out Villareal in the first, now I'm playing Toulouse. I won the League Cup which was surprising, though I had a relatively easy run to the semis, I beat Chelsea there and then Liverpool in the final. To sum up, things are going well.

Bump for the thread, but I've taken delight in seeing this:

And on the following day:

Coming just after Mancini did the usual managerial hatred routine of hoping I 'crash and burn!'.

In other news, Sweey will be delighted to hear David James joined AC Milan on a free :/

I was thinking of getting FM2010 for my mac, do they do a version for the mac or will the pc version work on it? Just a bit confused as the box art has a mac logo thing on it..

Into the Coca-Cola Championship now, struggling this season though. Confident of keeping Rotherham up though. This season is a very important one, to get the finances in a better position so I actually have some money to spend on improving my squad.
