What kind of style are you using Ziss? Leicester's counter attacking or Barça's possession?

United's boring dilly dally tactics :lmao:

I'm playing fairly narrow, only my full backs really get assists from crosses. Gilardino (who I tried to replace at the start) is my top scorer, followed by Quaison. Given he's probably my best player, Vázquez has done very little.

I've not beaten the top teams very often, usually draw. Have fluked a couple of extra time/penalty wins against them in the cup.

Nothing wrong with it, I too like a bullet-proof defence. And it certainly is the best tactic when your team is worse than the opponent.

I've not got the new one and probably wont, due to not having spent enough time on last year's version, but I have just started it up again for the first time in months.

I got a patch to add non-league Scottish football and started up with St Cuthbert's in the South of Scotland league - technically the 6th tier of Scottish football but with the East typically being stronger than the South and above that the Highland League stronger than the Lowland, it's realistically more like the 8th tier.

For info, this extended pyramid structure is brand new in Scotland. It's Prem, Champ, Lge 1 & Lge, just like in England, then below that the Highland & the Lowland, then South & East. Winners of Highland & Lowland play off against each other and then against bottom of Lge 2. Similar happens with winners of South & East, so there is a way up, but it's a slow one.

playing that far down is rather difficult.

Too right it is. No money, shit facilities, shit players, always unfit. Any promising youths seem to find drugs booze & pussy more fulfilling than football and turn to shit. Veterans struggle with their beer bellies and divorces. Plenty of yellow cards, plenty of injuries, it's hard work! At least I've got a state of the art 3G pitch though, so can try to play a passing game, at home anyway.

I've got them up to the Lowland League and won a lot of the small regional cups, but am seemingly now stuck in midtable limbo. I've read there's a flaw in the patch and that some promotions from Highland/Lowland up to League 2 don't go through, so if I get a job offer from the right League 2 team I'll probably take it. Not likely until I find some form again though.

I don't have 2016. We should do a challenge though, like we did with in FM15 with some Serie C team.

Obviously I didn't do the challenge with you guys, but did start low down in Italy back in FM2011. I was at Ravenna in one of the Lega Pro divisions (Serie C1A I think it used to be called) I got them up to Serie B eventually through the playoffs and signed a few young guys released by big teams - Crisiteg (Inter) Merkel (Milan) Frimpong & Emmanuel-Thomas (Arsenal) as well as a couple of lumberjack journeymen like Jason Roberts! I was only in Serie B one season, getting a shock promotion despite often playing some dire stuff. There was no way my team was ready for Serie A, so when Roma came knocking I jumped at the chance.

1st season, Champions. 2nd season, invincible Champions. 3rd season, everyone fuckin moaning! De Rossi wants to go to Man City, Matic wants double his money, Macheda(!) bitches about game time but only ever scores when he's a sub, Rafael (was there when I signed) wants to join a more competitive league. I think I lost interest after losing to Chelsea in the Champs Lge semi for the second consecutive year.

Back to St Cuthbert's tonight!
