A mortgage means i won't be getting both, especially with PS3 being around the £500 mark.

360 is great and will have everything PS3 has plus the added massive bonus of Halo 3, I may get a PS3 depending on cash but Sony piss me off big time. The most important game for me is PES then Halo so my 360 is doing just fine.

Pfff... I will most certainly get a 360, but Halo and Halo 2 both did absolutely nothing for me. I thought they were boring and slow and didnt even look all that hot either. The only reason Halo 1 got all the hype was because it was the first time a console shooter played well using a joypad.

I AM looking forward to Ninja Gaiden 2 though. Just got started with Ninja Gaiden Black and although the learning curve is steep, it's an awesome game.

My current Xbox (old one) is my favourite console of all time, as it has great quality games in all genres. I'm sure the PS3 will also have it's own classics, but because of the good price for the 360 and the good experience I have with the old Xbox, I'm sticking with Microsoft.

...And Blue Ray means nothing to me. When I buy a console I buy it to play games... and normal DVD's are still fine enough for me to watch movies.
Maybe ina few years I'll make that leap to the next gen DVD players, but not soon.

You talk sense about DVDs on a console if they play DVDs tahts a bonus and also the Xbox is quality and Microsoft are better than Sony IMO. Regarding Halo though I think it's awesome. Me and my mates always used to play Link over each others houses with loads of us four to a TV. These were some of the funnest moments outside of PES I have had on a console and then when Live came out it added yet more dimension to the brilliance. Did you ever play Halo link or online?

Well I've just sold my Xbox 360 to my mate, generally because it was pretty wank, I identified the floor being that none of the games were actually any fun, I'm buying a PS2 tomorrow, far better.

PS2 annoy me immensely but I see what you're saying about the 360 there are no good games out at the moment which facks me right off, all I play is PES or football manager.

Precisely, and PES is far better on the PS2 I don't care what anyone says, the game was designed around the Dualshock and it plays perfectly on it, so the 360 can take its triggers and pretend D-Pad and shove them.

Scarface

The World Is Yours
Top Spin Tennis 2, Call Of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero are great games for the 360, but there aren't many other top games out at the moment. The console itself is pretty good, although I expect the PS3 to blow it away.

I got CoD 2 today on the XBox, great game. I like those soldier games, but its not as good as it was on the 360.

First off i must admit.I used to be really against the 360 with everything.
Now that ive played it quite a bit i feel i was wrong

Ive always been a sony fan based on the fact one of my first consoles was the playstation 1.Then i moved onto ps2 and so on :D

so far though ive played PGR,FifaWC,DOA4 and the table tennis game and all i can say is wow :shocking:

The graphics first off are great especially on PGR and the table tennis game.
My fav from the 5 would have to be the tennis.

Anyhow my point is im willing to give the 360 a chance if the ps3 doesnt live up to my expectations.Considering the 360's cheaper it can only be good :w00t

but heres hoping the ps3 does hit the bigtime!

nonsensical is the word i like to describe this thread as....you got one bloke comparing a console that is available and is the leader in the market thus far...and one that is still yet to be released...and to top it..he spelt it incorrectly!...PES3 is a great gamei know but it doesn't compare to buying a console

Its still just videos and screens. Until i see an actual PS3 playing these games then i cannot assume that the final products will look this good.

As mentioned earlier, one game was showcased using 360 technology hidden under a PS3 case.

They were playing the PS3 at E3 in America about a month ago. Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Warhawk and Motorstorm were on the floor, Assasins Creed and Mercenaries 2 were behind closed doors. MGS4 and final fantasy 13 were using there new engines. Its all there in the link if you want to see it.

Write a list of your favourite games if there on the PS3 save up for it, but don't pretend the 360's going to get anything like the amount of games the PS3 has.

As for the hidden 360 case, if you believe that you believe anything.

Well it was a PC running to the specification, but no it wasn't an Xbox 360 as some people were suggesting.

How come no-one on this website gives Nintendo any consideration? From a neutral point of view (although I am a Nintendo fanboy), PS3 and 360 offer nothing more than improved graphics. The Wii however offers improved graphics, WiFi online play and you can download games for past consoles (NES, SNES, N64, Sega), a new, revolutionary controller (which Sony has decided to steal... again). Also, how much was the 360 on launch? How much is the PS3 on launch? How much are the games? Think you all know the answer. The Wii is going to cost less than half of those two on launch, and game prices won't rise. The reason 360 games and PS3 games cost so much is because they cost so much to produce due to the new graphics, companies are making a loss by making the games because they cost loads to produce, and some are backing due to the high costs. And also Sony and Microsoft are making a loss with every unit they sell, don't know about Sony, but Microsoft are losing around $120 for each console.

And being honest I really don't see the difference in the PS3 and 360, the same games come out on both of them, they only exclusives worth noting are ones like Halo and... can't think of anymore, wonder why? I'm not trying to sell the Wii to you all, just telling you all this because none of you seem to know that Nintendo still make consoles and are going to own this generation.
