Formation off the ball allways flat 4-4-2

No matter what formation my manger has my team always defends in a flat 4-4-2 formation. F.i. I now use a manager with a 4-3-3 formation. Both offensive and defensive formations of my manager are 4-3-3. However as soon as I loose the ball my left IMF is pushed out to the left, my LFW is pushed to the center and becomes a second CF together with my regular CF and my RFW drops down to a RMF.

I have tried about 10 different manager, and close to a 100 different players. I have had managers with 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 4-2-1-3, 4-1-2-3 formations and a few more but my team ALLWAYS switches to a flat 4-4-2 as soon as I loose possession. This is really anoying. How can I change this in MyClub?

I take it you have the possession/out of possession set accordingly and have that flowing formations (or whatever it is called) turned on so they will adjust?

I do not have a problem with my team in a regular season format flow from a 4-2-3-1 when out of possession, with the SS set very far back, to a 4-1-3-2 when in possession. I have my one DMF step up into a #10 role when attacking. Everything flows nicely. And if I change to Custom or Defensive, all the attacking/out of possession flows naturally as well.

important to recognize i am doing this in a regular season, not a myclub or master league.

I don't really understand what you are meaning but my offensive formation is now 4-3-3 and defensive formation as well. There is no setting for fluid formations in myClub from what I can see.

Fluid, ah that is the word.

odd that it isn't there in myclub. I would think that was just a general setting. I know you have to turn it on first, i forget where that menu item is however. somewhere on manager settings. However, i have never used myclub mode so not sure.

i should have added, for your defensive settings to take over you have to use the d-pad up and down to toggle; it doesn't happen automatically.

I only use custom, offensive, and defensive formations for big swings - such as being down a few goals or up a few. I rely on fluid formations all match long however.

I know how to switch between the offensive and defensive formations but on both my team defends in a flat 4-4-2 no matter what I do.

What I hate about that is that I would like to have 3 central players in defense. This is really retarded that I can't use any other formation in defence. It kinda makes me wanna switch back to Fifa.

i wouldn't want to play this game without fluid formations. that is the key, i can't understand why not available in MYclub.

my guess is fifa steals that next season.

I just can't get my players to move offensively in fifa. If my CAM gets ahead of my CF, my CF drops back to play defense in FIFA. hate that game coding.

Even without fluid formations why couldn't they just have stuck with the formation you use in both attack and defense? So if I play with 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 or whatever formation, I would simply have that formation off the ball as well as when in posession. It's really stupid that all formations switch to 4-4-2 whenever you loose the ball. So mindblowingly retarded beyond comprehention!

My opinion is that a teams formation has most importance when not in posession. If you watch a game you are seldom able to determine a teams formation when they have the ball since there are players making runs, switching positions and so on. It's when they are able to collect them selves as a team in defence that you really can determine what the base formation is. Just watch Arsenal or Barcelona play and you will know what I mean. And in PES myClub it seems you're stuck with 4-4-2. Which, once again, is completelly retarded! Unless anyone knows what to do to change it?
