Just wondered what other peoples experiences with free kicks are? Have you found anything to be particularly effective?

I reckon I have played approx 150 games, but have only managed to score 1 so far (although I don't tend to get too many in good scoring positions). The CPU has also scored 1 against me- a screaming shot (or cross?!) from near the touchline, where my keeper flapped and dived backwards under it like an idiot!

I have found that the keeper stands quite central, nullifying the classic 'over the wall, curl away from the keeper, into the near corner' type goal (hope that makes sense). The goal I did score was into the far post from very close range, with the keeper stood behind the wall (leaving a huge gap unguarded on the far side).

Just wondering whether anyone has any good tips? I haven't tried the knuckle shot yet- I recall that in one PES (PES 2012 or 2013 perhaps?) it was unstoppable, and the keepers central positioning may make him vulnerable. The other PES classic I haven't tried is under the wall, although for that one the keepers starting position would seem to count against it.

I should also add that I don't have a real free kick expert on my master league team (I mainly play offline), so that probably hasn't helped. The old up and over technique might work if I actually had a player capable of getting the right amount of curl, dip and power.

i find that adding curl and dip slows the ball down and you can't seem to hit the target or straight into the keeper's arms but with freekick's and corner's i find leave the default aim and just move over your corner and power up and as you strike the ball then push youre stick in the desired direction not that this does much but i find i can hit rockets like this.

Curling slows the ball to the point of GK always catching it. Unless you aim to their side of the goal.

I use these techniques:

1- Up to 20/22 meters: Curling to the side of the keeper, from the outside, like this http://i.imgur.com/3WMIuSt.png. Power should be right in the middle. Or just blast it to the same side. Little to no curling, power in the middle as well

2- Ranging from 22 to 27 meters: a bit over the middle on the power gauge, no changes in height, pointed towards the post nearer the ball.

3- More than 27 meters: very difficult to score. Either you have a very powerful striker, or try to win a corner. The best/more advisable option should be to cross, but I prefer to take mt chances. Power near the 2/3, to any of the top corners of goal. And pray.
