When I imported mine I didn't have an option to select 1024. All kits are in the 2048 section.

Do I copy them over in game?

What's the procedure?

In edit mode, go to import/export, select import images. Then there's a few option such as Strips (L), Strips (S), Stadium, Manager. If you choose Strips (L) that means the kits will be 2048px. So you have to choose Strips (S) to make the kits res be 1024px.

Ah ok, when I did mine I followed the pes world instructions and it all auto loaded.

Guess I'll have to delete them an reload them into the small section - any idea of the level of image degradation in game?

I think there's not many

the quality degrades but not by anything major.

The upside is - i have over a 1000 free slots having already loaded in Serie A, PRem, Championship and La Liga :D

Can someone with the knowledge amend the BIN files to load in to 1024x1024? at present you have to go to each team an paste the kit images in.

Ok after reading all of your posts above, I think it's getting clearer for me, but I still have question about edit data.

My edit data doesn't seem to contain live squad update and i think this is normal?

When I do an export team say I applied jersey changes to Man Utd, will the exported team contain the old squad but with jersey? Is this an issue for those that import this bin file?

i dont have leagues PLA and PAS edited yet but my uniforms slots are already full. one question, if i delete all stadiums and managers images, could this open more space to put more uniforms??? thanks all and sorry the poor english

Apply Live Update in main menu. Your squads should be updated to the latest update by Konami. But please notice if you already import created teams such as Bayern or Celtic, the team rosters for them will be reset.
If you untick both boxes when importing a .bin file, the squads should be the same as before, only the strips and team info change.

It's likely because most of the kits you use are using 2048x2048 size. If you use 2048px you can only import less then 400 kits, but if you use 1024px you can import up to around 1000 kits, that's a huge different.
As for deleting stadiums and managers images, I think it will not count that much towards slots for kits, especially if you still use 2048px kits. But maybe it can increase your kits slot by 1-2 dozens if you're using 1024px kits.

When importing teams there is no option for kits' size because they are created (preset) by someone else, however, when you import images by yourself you can choose kits' size. I have serie a and la liga kits at 2048, everything else is at 1024. Right now I am at 500 kits and have left 400+ kit slots open. So if I erase 2048 and do all kits at 1024 probably 1000+. Doesn't look as good as 2048 resolution, but covers ALL UNLICENSED clubs;)

the difference in game is hardly worth bothering about imo, only if you zoom right in on a replay is it overly noticable

interestingly, someone said kits will look better converted by a PC then imported Vs letting the game do it . . .

One thing that I think Konami should have implemented by now, particularly since they've given us a huge list of city names to link to our renamed teams (eg Manchester, Wigan, Blackburn etc) is the ability to have a second list that has City, United, Athletic, Rovers etc.. So in game the commentary will say Manchester City versus Manchester United.. It annoys me so much that I have to hear Manchester vs Manchester every time there's a derby. Does anyone else think this is a viable addition konami could include in the future?

I'm glad I'm not alone here. I strongly believe they will eventually bring in something similar to my suggestion. One thing I can commend Konami on, is their continual improvements on the editing side of things..
