i would put EA in that half finished game category as well. In fact, the final straw that stopped my fifa playing this year and the jump over to PES was have players in FIFA running around without heads. Literally, players without heads.

They're addictive, yes, but certainly not good!. And trust me, as a man who has played both, PES is certainly the best of a bad bunch this year. I still play PES most days, despite hating a lot of it, don't feel the urge to ever go back to Fifa.

just got fifa 15 from tesco for £40 but i could of got it for £28 from amazon.co.uk but paid extra as can't be bothered to wait plus it's a saturday.

i know fifa is not brilliant but in previous versions i played FUT mostly and broke two controller's because of it, but i will play career and one other game mode which was epic in fifa 14 PRO CLUBS! it's a fantastic gamemode and i can reignite matty BECKHAM all over again :D

Fifa 15 is horrible arcade shite in fairness. You can dribble by twisting and turning like a maniac with no respect for physics. The attackers on the ball can constantly twist and turn quicker than any player on the defending team which is ridiculous as they don't have to worry about keeping control of the ball. It makes defending a nightmare at times, because you can't react quickly enough to attackers twisting and turning, and also makes it easy to rip defences apart when attacking. There is absolutely no balance between attack and defence. It's just geared towards scoring goals and nothing else, thats why the attack has so much advantage over defence. Rotten excuse of a game for cheap thrills.

Oh well i made the decision mainly on the longevity , laughable annoying commentary , and more depth and realism. all that pes suffers from and it only starts to grind on you after the first month or two. No going back now untill november which im excited about but pro clubs is far more enjoyable than myclub ATM i think most people would agree.

Fifa has more depth in game modes and the stadiums, licenses and chants are good alright, but the gameplay ruins that level of realism for me. If i'm not immersed in the gameplay, all those other things don't compensate for it which is a pity. If it had the gameplay to match, it would be a brilliant atmosphere. I don't play myClub myself, so fortunately I'm not losing out.

very fair point mate, my only point i could make to slightly disagree is to say i will only be playing career mode which is ok in terms of gameplay 'bearable' compared to pes's, and pro clubs which will be online but the good thing is i'll be playing as my created player so scripting isn't a factor as it's 6v6 most of the time. I'm not touching FUT with a 10ft sugar batten. :)

It's breaks my heart seeing how beautiful the graphics of FIFA looks like compare to PES. How I wish PES can have that beautiful graphics too.

and why would i do that? i mean why would i buy anything other than fifa when i sold pes to buy fifa, fifa's not that bad on the pitch , it looks and feels like a football game should and pes just has the latter so.......

I like Football too so I want to have a good Football game but FIFA is scripted on Ultimate team more than on other modes - so no I will never buy FIFA again and because the online experience in PES2015 is very bad (no Servers) - I will stop playing football game !

I will play other things - It's sad but I work too hard for my money to give it KONAMI or EA and all I get is a bad online experience - NO I'm not an Idiot !

yeah konami produce a potentially good game that's not finished and diabolical online and fifa is nothing like the demo and it's hard to think why?, as the demo was unbelievable and it would of pissed all over pes2015 is they kept the quality gameplay but NO.

the grass is not always greener so i now have to live with it for a few months but i know how much pes frustrated me and i can play fifa on slow just about plus the missus would kill me if i tried trading it again but i'd still be fed up with pes so 2013 is a good option maybe.

I'm also going to be selling my game. Like everything said. i just can't get into this game even thought it has great gameplay. Just isn't enough.

they're both still poor this year but trust me DO NOT buy fifa because when you've been playing pes for 2months and then when you play fifa you see how bad it is and makes pes look unbelievable.

It's funny that this forum has a lot of critiques against PES but in the official EA discussion forums everyone just keeps criticizing Fifa.
I would disagree with the OP, in that Gameplay is the be-all-end-all of a video game, it should, and for me, is enough to keep playing a game. In that regard PES beats Fifa any day.
I think the problem is that people playing these games are hoping to get a real life football simulator for around 60 US dollars every year. Hate to tell you, but the human resources, data collection and development to get a true 100% simulator that mirrors every action in real football would cost more, much more, than $60. It's an unrealistic expectation for gaming purposes.
The company also has to prepare for next season so development has to stop at some point for the current game, so patches often do not fix much.
I think Konami only migrated to the new engine just recently because Fifa was practically taking over the whole football genre.

I agree with one poster, play something besides a football game :)

Until this weekend, I have been playing PES using Palace and Villa (although had a brief run with united), but just started a season with Manchester City. I was amazed at the behavior of the CPU - previously if you were marked tightly on a through ball the CPU would easily stick a leg in to knock it away - but not when using Manchester City. CPU lets it go through and never tackles. So the increase in ability I felt that existed using City was in a dumbed-down CPU more than an increase in my players at hand. Although Dzeko turns like a top in the box, something which i have not noticed with any other player. But passes into the box to him were met with the CPU defenders just staring at him instead of challenging him - again, a dumbed down CPU against a better team.

In addition, and most annoying, is that despite being booked for every touch foul using a lower ranked team, while using City I could take the legs out of any CPU player and not get booked, or even called for a foul. The logic behind team ability is so backwards; a foul is a foul is a foul.

I hold my hands up, i made a big mistake. i only say big mistake because the fifa gameplay actually is unplayable if your used to playing pes15. you cannot hold the ball up or slow play down , you can't defend on whatever your skill level like RATMonkey stated , i forgot how bad it is and with all the good thing's in fifa from how nice it looks and all the sponsor's and licenses to the commentary , well all this doesn't matter when the football is this bad . So yes i'd rather play pes all day long over fifa BUT im glad i brought fifa because pes is definitely going to topple EA in the coming years and the sales won't be a land slide in EA's favour this or any year to come. I just wish i never sold pes but if the gameplay was like the demo then it would have been worth it but no why would they make it a proper football simulator when by doing so they would loose all they're kiddie arcade loving player's which is the majority , BUT i think with the gameplay at an all time low then they will be losing alot of customer's this and next year for sure.

I will not be buying FIFA. For I am a die hard PES fan. I just can't get into the game with the lack of OF. I'm a huge ML player and it's just screaming for a OF.

CPU lets it go through and never tackles.

I hate it when I score goals because of this.
It's not like the ball is not reachable by the CPU, he just doesn't want to intercept it. It's like the CPU wanted you to score for that moment. It's basically a free goal. Maybe this is one the so called "scripting" that ruins the game.

Yeah, I believe that this happens more on big teams. Maybe because the attacking stats of the strikers has something to do with it. They attack better than strikers from weak teams, maybe their stat causes the CPU defender to dumb down.

iv'e managed to make 'fifa' a bad game of football alot more playable and realistic by simply:On legendary putting game speed on slow and then taking cpu sprint, acceleration, pass and shoot speed down to 46 and the same for me. Which makes the game feel alot slower and better to play as it's more passing and longer in possession rather than one end to the other like default.
