They're addictive, yes, but certainly not good!. And trust me, as a man who has played both, PES is certainly the best of a bad bunch this year. I still play PES most days, despite hating a lot of it, don't feel the urge to ever go back to Fifa.
i would put EA in that half finished game category as well. In fact, the final straw that stopped my fifa playing this year and the jump over to PES was have players in FIFA running around without heads. Literally, players without heads.
Fifa 15 is horrible arcade shite in fairness. You can dribble by twisting and turning like a maniac with no respect for physics. The attackers on the ball can constantly twist and turn quicker than any player on the defending team which is ridiculous as they don't have to worry about keeping control of the ball. It makes defending a nightmare at times, because you can't react quickly enough to attackers twisting and turning, and also makes it easy to rip defences apart when attacking. There is absolutely no balance between attack and defence. It's just geared towards scoring goals and nothing else, thats why the attack has so much advantage over defence. Rotten excuse of a game for cheap thrills.
Oh well i made the decision mainly on the longevity , laughable annoying commentary , and more depth and realism. all that pes suffers from and it only starts to grind on you after the first month or two. No going back now untill november which im excited about but pro clubs is far more enjoyable than myclub ATM i think most people would agree.
Fifa has more depth in game modes and the stadiums, licenses and chants are good alright, but the gameplay ruins that level of realism for me. If i'm not immersed in the gameplay, all those other things don't compensate for it which is a pity. If it had the gameplay to match, it would be a brilliant atmosphere. I don't play myClub myself, so fortunately I'm not losing out.
and why would i do that? i mean why would i buy anything other than fifa when i sold pes to buy fifa, fifa's not that bad on the pitch , it looks and feels like a football game should and pes just has the latter so.......
I like Football too so I want to have a good Football game but FIFA is scripted on Ultimate team more than on other modes - so no I will never buy FIFA again and because the online experience in PES2015 is very bad (no Servers) - I will stop playing football game !
I will play other things - It's sad but I work too hard for my money to give it KONAMI or EA and all I get is a bad online experience - NO I'm not an Idiot !
It's breaks my heart seeing how beautiful the graphics of FIFA looks like compare to PES. How I wish PES can have that beautiful graphics too.
I'm also going to be selling my game. Like everything said. i just can't get into this game even thought it has great gameplay. Just isn't enough.
It's funny that this forum has a lot of critiques against PES but in the official EA discussion forums everyone just keeps criticizing Fifa.
I would disagree with the OP, in that Gameplay is the be-all-end-all of a video game, it should, and for me, is enough to keep playing a game. In that regard PES beats Fifa any day.
I think the problem is that people playing these games are hoping to get a real life football simulator for around 60 US dollars every year. Hate to tell you, but the human resources, data collection and development to get a true 100% simulator that mirrors every action in real football would cost more, much more, than $60. It's an unrealistic expectation for gaming purposes.
The company also has to prepare for next season so development has to stop at some point for the current game, so patches often do not fix much.
I think Konami only migrated to the new engine just recently because Fifa was practically taking over the whole football genre.
I agree with one poster, play something besides a football game
Until this weekend, I have been playing PES using Palace and Villa (although had a brief run with united), but just started a season with Manchester City. I was amazed at the behavior of the CPU - previously if you were marked tightly on a through ball the CPU would easily stick a leg in to knock it away - but not when using Manchester City. CPU lets it go through and never tackles. So the increase in ability I felt that existed using City was in a dumbed-down CPU more than an increase in my players at hand. Although Dzeko turns like a top in the box, something which i have not noticed with any other player. But passes into the box to him were met with the CPU defenders just staring at him instead of challenging him - again, a dumbed down CPU against a better team.
In addition, and most annoying, is that despite being booked for every touch foul using a lower ranked team, while using City I could take the legs out of any CPU player and not get booked, or even called for a foul. The logic behind team ability is so backwards; a foul is a foul is a foul.
CPU lets it go through and never tackles.
