Hi im going into my 2nd season of ML and i need a good defender for arsenal. Ive been looking at Samuel but im not very convinced. Im looking for a very good defender for my team.

Buy either Cristian Chivu or Ivan Cordoba. They each work particularly well with Sol Campbell partnering them. Chivu is better for bringing the ball out of defence, and passing accurately, whereas Cordoba has the extra pace. An added bonus of having Chivu, is he brings a nice bit of balance to the defence, being left-footed.
You could also think about signing Vincent Kompany, as he and Senderos should develop extremely well.

i would recommend Martin Craine as on my ML after 3 seasons now one of the best defenders on the game...but if you want a quick and good defender i advise Stam...

Martin Craine plays for Southampton mate.....
and the reason why your players stats are going down is because they are getting old...which means they arent as 'agile' or dont have as much 'pace' as they did in previous seasons.....

If you don't bother to use Classic players try Ruud Krol (Kmol) from Classic Netherlands he has high defense(95) a nice dribble and much speeds (92) very compleet defender or try Rijkaard who is a Defensive midfielder/defender.

Or you can try Nesta, Stam, Chivu.

Try a lad that plays for anderlecht called borre,hes young so his stats go up mege and also kompany because hes brilliant in the air and good bringing the ball outta defence

My favourite ones are Borre (16y) and Tresor (17y). Yes Tresor is a classic player but still, and definetly one of the best defenders.

Get Pique or Alex. Those two develop into the best defenders in teh game. Huth is also extreamly good at developing. Those are my back three and I havnt conceeded a goal in something like 15 league games.
