Canadian striker from my ML youth team. Bursts onto the scene at 16 with an overall of 84 - his stats are amazing, I don't think I've seen anything like him on PES. He is 6ft 4 and lightning.

Any other ML youngsters with impressive stats?

On a side note, who else hates the fact that the opposition ping the ball around casually stringing 30 passes together? Apart from that and the ref (no pennas wtf?) the game seems good.

What team are you doing the ML with? Do you have the highest rank of youth team set-up? I only ask because i'm doing it with Wolves and haven't been able to afford the upgrade this season and I'm only getting really bad players through the youth.

Yeh, I'm Man United lol. It will definitely have something to do with that. Normally the same group of players come through on PES but I've never seen this guy before.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has some new players that have never featured on PES?

To be honest I've had to sign some old duffers to keep me up this season. So I got no young recommendations.

Your right about the penalties though, I only got one last season and that was funnily enough against Man U.

gouraqui

Gouraqui is actually Gbeke (Charles Gbeke) from the Canadian national team on PES2010 (the names of the Canada team are not correct). After players retire in Master League, they appear in youth teams, but I have no idea how it is decided what teams they appear in. Apparently Gouraqui always appears for Man Utd. He showed up in my youth team (I had Man Utd as well), and he's become really really good. :D

Im playing Fiorentina and I got Gouraqui after upgrading my youth team to top level.
He was 76 when i got him tho, and he's not very fast, but his heading and shooting is awesome.

The next season in my youth team I got a spanish player called Guttierez, who started at 84, and handles very similar to Ibrahimovic - very fast, powerful shot, and very hard to knock off the ball.

Thats my front line sorted then...

Actually, these youth players show up at random. They are players from national teams that have no club (at least in the game) that show up as youth players or, they are free agent transfer players that retires after giving up on signing for any club, generally because they are old and with low abilities... The better the rank of the youth team, the better the stats of the players that appears through the youth...

Try to look at the dossier of youth players, depending on your luck a youth players comes with the likes (talking about stats) of a world star player, so he will develop to be just as good as the star...

I got an brazilian striker called Nei that was just as good as Benzema, and with only 16 years old he already was with 90 overall rating... :shocking:

And a goalkeeper called Graafland, that was just as good as Buffon, with 95 overall rating, at 16 years old too... :w00t

Cun Teibang from China, started at age 16 with 84 overall rating. 1-touch play, passer an 1on1 finish. Absolute killer, with good pace.

That's a fantastic name - "Cunty Bang"? Brilliant haha, excuse the language.

Only 3rd season in for me, the first 2 seasons had a load of nonsense in the youth team (of which I bought 1 just because I use the default players rather than start with a full team and I needed anything that could kick a ball :p) but beginning of this one I got the reincarnation of Pieckenhagen as a fully-formed 87 rated keeper, now at 92 after some tactical training! Hoping the good luck carries on for a decent striker next year, mine are getting old...

Not the first PES game where players come back after retirement but still a brilliant way to keep the ML fun well into the future, great feature.

is Gutierrez not one of the ML default players? I'd be surprised if it was a different one, coz I've got Castolo in my youth team. Does this mean that ML players can actually amount to something?
