Guide to Making your PES3 DVD into a cd and patching it

This is a good guide made by jonboyo so all thanks go to him.
[Edit- Check the bottom of the first post for attachments which are required for this, including the 2 IMG files, DVDscan2 and the FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN files, which are attached all as zip files]

Idiots guide to Making your PES3 DVD into a cd and patching it!

What you need-
a)Isobuster
From http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/
b)FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar - on lomuntungs ftp (PES3 - ripkits folder)

c) CDmage beta
d) DVDSCAN2-download
[Edit by Zyg. Click on HERE for another source to get DVDscan2 or look to the bottom of this post to download from the attachments
e) Nero or whatever to burn disc.
f) ppfomatic3
g) Patch ppf
e) 1 fully functioning neurone. (Edit- this means use your brain so don't try to download it )

HERE WE GO-

1)Stick original PES3 DVD in dvd drive.

2)create folder on desktop called pes3dvd (Right click on desktop then in pop up new folder)

3)Open Isobuster

4)On left side where it says session 1,left click.

5)On left side where it says track 1,left click.

6)On left side where it says iso in red,RIGHT click->choose extract...find new folder on desktop called pes3dvd.

7)Once its finished, copy contents of folder pes3dvd,and paste them into new folder called 'patched dvdrip PES3'

8)extract FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar into 'patched dvdrip PES3'folder

9)In this folder double left mouse click on 'Attributes.exe' then in pop up click on set attributes

Then run dvdscan2 to remove the dvd check on the 'SLES_519.12' file.

If for some reason your missing these files "IOPRP271.IMG" and
"DNAS271.IMG" download them and stick them in the folder

10)Then double left mouse click on 'pes3.bat' file in same 'patched dvdrip PES3'folder.

11)In 'patched dvdrip PES3' folder you will find the file 'SOCCER3.ISO' size-613 MB (643,690,496 bytes)

12)Copy this into new folder called 'tobepatchedPES3cdiso', you can delete everything that remains in 'patched dvdrip PES3'folder.

13)run cdmage, open 'soccer.iso' file-its in mode1 2048.
In left window Left mouse click on 'IMAGE' then 'session1' then 'track1' so its highlighted.

14)goto File->save as ->choose filename eg 'patchable PES3cdrip',stick it on desktop or in new folder eg 'newpatchablebin',you will note it says cdrwin and fireburner cuesheet file in other box...leave that as it is.

15)Click save then in next window popup-> choose convert track to mode1/2048->mode2/2353 -click OK.
[Edit:- The last one should really be mode 2/2352]

16)a patchable PES3cdrip bin and cue are created.Copy a backup of this somewhere safe (since you may want to patch a clean bin in the future)

17)open ppfomatic locate the 'patchablePES3cdrip.bin' in folder 'newpatchablebin', locate the pes3cdretail patch (you have downloaded).Click patch.

18)What remains in 'newpatchablebin' folder may look like the same file but it is in fact a patched file.

19)Burn this with nero as slow as you can...under recording option (top menu of main screen) 'burn image' find the file 'patchablePES3cdrip.cue' in folder 'newpatchablebin' and burn away.

20)Success...I hope!

I don't know if I'm allowed to to ask questions in this thread but just delete this if that's the case. What if I have a DVD burner and want to keep the game on DVD with all the languages? Can I apply the patch anyway? Do I still need to rip the original DVD or just make a copy? Will the game, all languages and the patch fit on one DVDr? I've searched all over these forums and Evo Web and I can't find anything on this subject. Please help me before the WE Leaders patch comes out!

You need the ripped version, there are no patches for the DVD version.

Can I rip my original DVD myself? And then patch that image (when a patch arrives) and just burn it on DVDr?

Surely the PES3 patch will work on CDr and DVDr. What's the difference, apart from storage space? A DVD is just like a huge CD isn't it?

It won´t work, but you can try if you want to waste a DVDr

Anyone can answer my question coz i really wanna patch my cd and i need to rip it...when I put my original pes3 dvd into my cd drive, and then open isobuster...nothing comes out on the left...

Hi,

when i dbl click the pes3.bat it fails to read the ioprp271.img, says there is an error reading the file. I do have that file, even downloaded it from the ftp as suggested. Anything I am doing wrong?

Isn´t it possible to ignore that message ? I also had an error message but I ingored it and everything was fine

Just to confirm was larsson has already mentioned. It would depend on the actual patch file, you could possibly get away with apply AFP patches, however PPF files are specific to the image size, so there is no way that you could apply them.

However as you have a dvd burner you might want to check out the multiple patches tool, to put 5 different versions of the game on 1 dvdr (should be better when there are more patches out).

Hi.
I have got the problem that i cant download the FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar file. I never use ftp and i tried it before with the next adres: ftp://ftp.lomuntungs/FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar and there was nothing to download.
Can someone tell me wat's going on??
Otherwise can just some good guy give that file to me??? just help me please.
