Help required on how to copy a pes6 option file from the PC to an unmodded PS2

I have downloaded the bin/cue image of pategato and goalterd's PES6 option file for the PS2 but I'm not sure what is the correct way to burn that image on a CD or DVD so that it will work on my unmodded PS2 and I can then copy the option file from the disc to the memory card.

I have used Nero 8 to burn the image on a CD but the PS2 will not recognise the disc and just displays an error message asking me to use a PS2 formatted disc.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for your comments.
