Don't let attacker get goal-side of you no matter what. That means run into space and not the attacker.

While defending don't run player after player into trying to tackle, it's more about slowing them down and reducing his options, this way you can get men back and eventually the attack will break down. Trying to win the ball back to quickly is a rookie mistake which a lot of new players have done to the cost of being passed around easily.

Complete agreement. Just using your pressure button will not work successfully much this year. It's a combination of that, and putting your defender(s) in position to cut down, angles, and options.

If I slow them up it gives them time to get there forwards up to my line and thats when I see the through ball as my defenders stand flat footed and allow a one on one. If I allow them room down the sides I'm much happier seeing crosses then through balls.

I'm trying to figure out the offsides trap right now and experimenting with leaving my D line on deep even though I want my SBs up the field...

hi, some hint for defending from corners?

My god if you get some please let us all know, it seems to be hit and miss at defending corners, sometimes I get a header out sometimes they get a shot away. I never like to say it's down to luck but I have put my big CB in many areas where the ball is going and a lot of the time he's ball watching. I don't concede as many now if I use a DMF in my formation and use him as the player I'm controlling and place him in the centre of the 6 yard box, this usually puts 2 players on each post making the goal a little smaller if they do get a header in.

But as for winning headers from corners, liek I said some I get some I don't seems to be 50/50
