As we promised before, here is ours (HMTR and Guiferrari) latest version of this wonderful OPT.
This new version is highly updated in respect of the previous ones. So to download it is mandatory for all Calcio fans!
It brings a lot of historical correct emblems and logos (every single team of every era has its own emblem/logo), many many tweaks in the formations (correct catennacio formation for Helenio Herrera's Inter per example), stats and kits of various teams and players.

PLUS 4 new legendary teams:

- Juve 33/34 (the team who won 5 consecutive scudetti)
- Ambrosiana-Inter 37/38 (with Meaza and that lovely red crossed shirt)
- AC Milan 50/51 (with the Gre-No-Li swedish trio)
- Juve 59/60 (with Boniperti, John Charles and Sivori)

Also keep an eye in this forum, as there is the possibility of a final update to this file (bringing Bologna 36/37, Lazio 37/38, Roma 41/42 and Fiorentina 55/56). But remember we are just a two man team, so every help is appreciated.

Thanks to the original makers of this OPT (il Fratelli di Italia), to Lennon (the maker of the Legends OPT) and to R.Laguna (the Nostalgia OPT maker).

Here is the link: it contains the PC and PS2 (MAX) versions of the file:

EDIT: new link added since 28/09/09. Found that Varese from the 60's missed his emblem. Files updated.

EDIT 29/10/09: New version: some crucial players stats updated (Gigi Riva, Zidane, Rivera) and a new team reintroduced: Palermo 04/05. I mantained the link of the previous version for the ones who want to play with Reggiana. :)

I'm not sure about the quality as I'm not into optionfiles but the idea sounds fantastic.

Thank you very much for your reply. The quality of this OF is good I think. We spent a lot of hours perfecting it. There are still some glitches, but those are just really minor issues that you only be aware of if you're a Calcio historian.
I'm just trying to understand if people are still in love with the italian game. Probably they don't download the OF because they don't like italian football. Or they aren't into classic OF's, or they are just more concerned with new season Of's.
I mean, nobody replies to our threads regarding this OF!
But whatever, HMTR and myself did this work just for our own fun. And we are happy with it. That's the most important thing IMO. ;)

Yes, that's a very good mentality and for what it's worth it looks like you've put a great deal of work into this and that commends respect.

The problem is that I don't have this version of the OF as we've been working on it! So, expect probably next month a new and final version, with a lot of improvements (real tactics for every team, updated kits, 8 new teams).

hi guiferrari, are you italian? i'd like to know if there's a full list of all team you included in these release. I'd love so much to play a whole 84/85 season with Como :D
Thank you!

@Mornon

First of all, thank you for your interest in this OF, which is the result of a collective work made by HTMR and me. By the way, we are portuguese. The goal of this OF is to have the most representative teams of the history of italian football (calcio).
That's why some compromises had to be made, and some teams had to be put out of the OF, to include others which we think are more worthy of that status. Thus the reason why we didn't put cremonese 83/84. But you can do it yourself, just get "PES EDITOR 6": http://www.purplehaze.eclipse.co.uk/downloads.html

In my opinion, you should wait for the final release of the OF, and then update it at your free will. Why? Just check what we've been adding to the OF:
- historical correct tactics for every team, plus updated kits, faces and stats for the teams and players who needed it;
And the following new teams:
- Genoa 1897 (primo vincitore dell' Scudetto)
- Casale 1913-14 (Scudetto)
- US Novese 1921-22 (Scudetto federale)
- FC Vado 1921-22 (primo vincitore della Coppa Italia)
- Pro Vercelli 1922-23 (Scudetto)
- Salernitana 47-48 (Gipo Vianni: vianema)
- Triestina 47-48 (Rocco: pre-catenaccio)
- Inter 52-53 o 53-54 (Alfredo Foni: prima grande squadra giocando col catenaccio)

Plus, if you're italian, hop in this italian forum, where we also discuss the OF, and ask italian people for help with some particular things (old fotos, etc): http://forum.halifax.it/showthread.php?t=22361&page=4

@mornon: I don't think I have it either, I will give it a look...

just to say that probably in this month of April HMTR and I will release the final version of this OF. It's 95% done, we're just perfecting some details.

Expect fully updated tactics, lots of updated kits and 11 NEW TEAMS!!!

Soon, in a PC or PS2 next to you ;)

Looking forward to it!

Hmmm, I m'not sure you will like it... we took out Milan 92/93 and Milan 94/95...............................................................................................................................................................................................to put in Milan 93/94! So I guess we made the right choice ;)
