One of the biggest issues I've noticed from playing BAL since the mode has come out is the issue with the AI (as many are well aware).
But I'd like to point out something specific that I think would improve the game a lot.
The development of the AI holding up the ball. This can be manifested with the appropriate player card (that way players who generally do this can be assigned this card).
The reason for adding this, is due to the AI strikers always insisting on running into cul-de-sacs or trying to break away one on one. This may not be apparent for those who play as strikers, but I enjoy playing in midfield and whenever you pass to a striker, the odds are the ball will be lost in a futile attempt. I almost always avoid passing to strikers unless I know they have a good shot at goal.
You all have surely seen this? You pass to a striker, he sprints at the CB, stops turns around and MAYBE passes to his strike partner, but usually gets disposed.
What i propose is that if a striker has the HUB card, he will avoid sprinting at goal when not in final 3rd and prefer to use slow dribble. The card will make him more effective in body balance (allowing him to hold off opposition trying to disposes him) and give him more specific deft dribbling to avoid a tackle. He will also look to play the ball to others.
Konami will have to put in some work, but I think this really would improve BAL, if not the rest of the game. It's an extremely important part of real football that I feel is ignored and has real implications in the game.
Thanks for sitting through my essay
