It's extremely hard playing CF in Top Player mode! I think in that mode they give the whole opposite team red up arrows :D And usually in CF position I cannot receive enough passes that I have to get the ball myself. It's really hard when your teammates don't support you much. So in the end I create another player in MF, that's much better! My player is 178cm high with 51kg weight, that makes me got 85 for agility, that's great! And now I'm happy with more chances passing & taking shots from distance :D

I've just signed for Milan in 5th season and yeah they have a weird formation. I wish they would replace the manager or something so we could change the formation and buy more quality players!

Just press "Skip match" when you click on "To Next Match". Aslong as you son't skip too many in a row then you should get straight back into the first team. But be aware that some people haven't been given new contract's by there current club if they skipp too many matches, so if you're at a club you like it may be too risky to skip many matches. I do this myself, but usually only skip 1 or 2 matches either side of the january transfer window.

Thanks man I did that and its a blessing
I skip a game every 6 or so games and I've managed to get a renewal
Cheers

How long it took you guys to get to the national squad?

I got called up to my National Team end of 4th Season as a CF on Top Player
Scored 10 Goals that season but my average rating was just 6.2
so im not sure what the criteria is, however i think it helped that i outscored fellow members of my national squad in my team!

i am in my 5th season, started with lecce, then moved to napoli, lazio and am now at inter. i am a SS but inter are using me as a CF which i'm not keen on. been called up to national team for the euros but england play me as a CF in a 451 which is rubbish. i want the freedom of a SS so i may have to leave inter.

i got 6 assists in the chamnpions league and ended up getting european player of the year which i thought was strange, but i did grab 18 goals that season, by far my best. i only have 7 at half way with inter and 4 came in one champions league match.

i'm playing it on top player though which makes it tough but so rewarding when you have a great game. loving this mode

just started my third season on top player, position WF - first season at wigan which went ok, couple of MIP's and Man of the Matches with smattering of goals and assists. Transferred to Fulham for 540 salary points and had a torrid time with them until transferring to Newcastle half way through second season for 610 salary points.
Took me three training matches to move from inter-squad to the bench and was soon a regular in the starting line-up. Things started to click and with three strikers up front (myself, martins/viduka and ashley young, yes more interesting transfers) started playing some decent football, despite martins occassionally being a greedy sod.
Finished 3rd in the table behind Utd and Chelsea, earnt a few MOM and MIP awards along the way and my first hat trick coinciding with my highest average thus far of 7.5
Renewed my contract with Newcastle for 810 salary points and have won 3 out of 3 euro champ qualifiers and I'm sat pretty on top of the goal scorers leader board with 4. Thumped Ajax 6-1 (we're playing good football!) and dicked Real Madrid 3-1 and watched Nistelroy get booked for diving (anyone else seen the CPU try this?).
Not really touched anything else but this mode, aside from trying a 2vs2 (see my thread to see how well that's gone...) and utterly addicted.
What's the earliest any of you have been called up for national duty?
Also I've started every game, league and euro's alike this season and never being substituted under 75mins. I don't think my stamina stat is up to that for the rest of the season but I don't want to miss any euro champs action (got my goal record to defend;)) - anyone get caught out by this and is it unavoidable?

Had an incredible season, joined wigan initially and took a while to get in the first team. But established myself at AMF behind Heskey. Started banging in some goals, (finished with 11, very very happy, some of which were long shots into the top corner, surprising for my guys terrible stats) We finished 11th overall, BUT, heres the success, for some reason wigan are in the europeans masters cup. And as we struggled through the d1 cup, we eventually won, with my goal early in the second half against United :D Exstatic.

Barcelona in the semis of europe, no confidence in my wigan squad, btu we kept it tight and through both legs, got through thanks to a heskey header from a corner, we then went on to win the final against chelsea, with my screamer in the last 10 minutes! Completely amazing.

Multiple man of the match awards. Stuck to top player, didnt get any amazing offers like I hoped for, but wigan offered me 800p to stay, so took that :) Just starting the new season.

Love it

Getting top scorer has a major flaw!

Well I´m in my 6th season, I have recently joined AC Milan and play classic player included so that Milan has Platini, Best, Djorkaeff, Breitner, Sammer on top of their regular squad. It´s awesome.

But when I played for BOCA in the Eredivisie and for PSG in the french league a very irritating thing happend. Makay and Benzema (don´t know the exact spelling of their names right now) were the top scorer in both leagues at the end both 1 goal before the incredible Abstruso. That´s no problem, but they both managed to make goals in the games against me, no problem either you think, well they lost 0:1 and 0:2 but still scored. :(

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there the potential for getting injured within BAL ?

Yes, you can get injured.

I'm in my 6th season of BaL and things were going great. Playing at my favourite club (AZ) and looking to go to a big club. Got in a couple of caps for the dutch team. Scored 10 times in the first half of my fifth season, playing as AMF. I'm rightfooted but was scoring a lot of goals with my left. Now comes the weird part: A couple of games ago I started noticing that though I'm in perfect position to shoot with my left my player keeps walking round the ball to hit it with his right. This didn't happen the first 5,5 seasons. Does anybody know what could be the reason for this??

Strange I have no Idea but for some reason in certain positions around the pitch my player does the exact same thing

As most people I want to win all trophies possible so like most i'm a bit of a journeyman. I have the leagues set out like this:

League A - French League
League B - English League
League C - Italian League
League D - Spanish League

Difficulty: Top Player (form the start)
Position: SS, CF

1st Season - Started in England and transfered to Portsmouth. Took me a while to break into the first team but eventually got in partnering Defoe. Didnt really have the best of seasons and decided to move.

Apps: 33
Goals: 8
Assists 2
Position: 11th

2nd Season - I decided to move to Blackburn when they came in for me as they finished 6th and got into the European Championships Qualifiers. Got through the qualifiers but didnt manage to get past the proper group stage. At mid season we were 15th, time for a change.

Apps: 26
Goals: 6
Assists: 0
Position: 15th

2nd Season (cont) - Moved to Tottenham in mid season which I though was a great move for me, they were 9th when I got there for the second half of the season and I got into the first team after about 3 training matches.

Apps: 16
Goals: 5
Assists: 1
Position: 6th

3rd Season - Decided that seen as we finished 6th I would stay and play in the European Championships. Got past the qualifiers and the group stage proper but failed in the knockout first round. In the league was very promising and decided to stay and push for the League B title next year.

Apps: 40
Goals: 18
Assists: 2
Position: 2nd

4th Season - After finishing 2nd last season I really thought we could push and win the league. We made one signing, Iaquinta, who partnered me upfront for most of the first half of the season but at that stage we were 8th. Got through to the knockout stages of the European Championships again but a good cup run give us victory over Liverpool in the final and give me the golden boot in both League and Cup. I decided i'd move abroad and try and win another league as I didnt feel I could achieve anymore with Tottenham.

Apps: 51
Goals: 30
Assists: 3
Position: 5th

5th Season - After seeking a move abroad there was no decent offers after 4 weeks of negotiations. With only 2 weeks left an offer came in from Man Utd. I decided I would give the English League one last go with last years champions. After losing in the semis of the European Championships and winning the League B Cup it came down to the last game of the season, 1 point behind, you guessed it, Tottenham. The team I left to seek trophies were sitting at the top of the table by 1 point playing West Ham at home, I was away to Villa. I managed to win the game 2-1 praying my old club lost. They could only manage a 1-1 draw and I clinched the league title for the first time in my career along with, once again the golden boot in the league and cup.

Apps: 43
Goals: 26
Assists: 8
Position: 1st

6th Season - I decided to leave United to try and win more trophies abroad, now at Sevilla who finished 2nd last season, havent started the season yet though. Love BAL mode, so addicting.

Ive also managed 11 caps for England scoring 5 goals and winning a place in the European Championships Team of the Tournament despite finishing 3rd.

Cheers, hope it wasnt too long and boring, ive enjoyed reading all

I started as Wigan as an AMF. played a couple of seasons there scoring a handful of goals in both.

Then I transferred to West Ham, played well and doubled my goal tally, but was getting frustrated by the manager keep substituting me. Seemed that everytime I came off we were winning but we always ended up losing. Very Frustrating!

What made me leave West Ham was in the last game of the season the manage brought me on after 68 minutes and the game at 0-1. I then nearly scored (the goalkeeper made a great save) and I set up another chance that Bellamy screwed up. On 79 minutes I was substituted for Ljungberg! I was not happy and moved on to Newcastle in the next transfer window.

I've been there for a couple of seasons now. Won the D1 Cup. I've since had an offer from Spurs, but there is no way I'm ever playing for them!

Really enjoying this, but I can never seem to keep hold of the ball. Everytime a defender gets near me he just waltzes away with the ball. Maybe this will improve with my stats.

playing on top player, in 1st season, playing for portsmouth, had 2 training games playing for reserves, 1 for 1st team then called up to be on the bench, came on at half time in first 2 games, getting MIP in both, started next game against Stoke, scored the winner before being taken off afetr 70 mins, was then called up for national team, came on at half time for Bentley in qualifier against wales which finished 0-0 but i got man of the match. That's it so far but i'm loving this mode
I'm a AMF by the way.

Hi, i started in the English League and Im playing on TOP PLAYER.
Im a SS.
I had Stamina at 81 to start which is a big plus!!!

Got offers from Man City, Sunderland and Stoke.

I chose Sunderland to start my career and within 6-8 games i was in the A team and then called up 2 bench straight after.
I was just about a 1st team regular or bench before the negotiation come up half way thru.
Few offers come in again from Stoke, Man City and West Ham.
I chose straight away to Join West Ham as i support them. Took me 2 games to make the a team, then straight to the bench and had a few starts, but mostly bench till the end of the season, scored a couple and a few assists.

Renewed my contract with the Hammers and within 2-3 games i realised i was a first team regular starting every game even in europe as we Finished 6th last season. we got knocked out pretty early and pretty early out the masters aswell, By this time I had become a CF as this is where they was playing me all the time and now i have that ticked aswell as a position. stayed at West ham, ended up playing 53 games for us, being top scorer with only 9-10 goals, out top assister with 7-8, we finished 14th and had in my eyes a very bad season, i had 2 injuries during the season. for a week each.

Renewed again With West Ham as i do want to Win things with us, still in the starting line up every week and have been called up 2 the England squad for qualifiers, came on as sub at half time and scored the second goal of the game to win 2-0 against Greece.
and To be Honest that was my first ever 8.0 as a player as far as i know.
Just getting to negotiations half way thru and again west ham are not doing to well in the league, im playing ok bout a 6.5 average.
Still in England Squad but yet 2 start, still comin on as Sub, Got a 7.25 rating for them and Still 1st Team every week for West Ham.
i have no special abilitys, i have alot of Pace and speed.
I will upload pics 2nite.:)

Just to carry on from my last post, ive now left West Ham after 2yrs there, we just didnt buy anyone and it pi55ed me off. So I joined Who i hate with a Passion 'Chelsea' who where top of the league, ive ended up Winning The League at age 19. Woooo, but im setting up Ppl like Fat Frank........and i cant have that.......lol
In my 4th Season and i renewed with Chelsea and we are 6th half way thru, still first Team for Chelsea up front ahead of Owen, Kalou, Drogba, Anelka etc. So all good, only problem since ive joined Chelsea i havent played for England..........Not sure why or just if there hasnt been any games.....If any one can shed light of when there games roughly are!
Sitting 5th at the moment and Still in D1 cup and champs league which is what i wana try and Win.
