I could get 4 skill cards in 2 years. by doing better dribble and getting over 250 and 300 for distance dribbling after the matcBut I couldn't earn new position yet.
How do you gain Skill Cards and new Positions?

I started my become a player and I was a CMF with the rating of 69. Unfortunately the team I was playing for played only DMF's so I was forced to play their every match. 10 matches later, I score a goal and 2 assists and my agent says I handled myself great at DMF today and I have earned a new skill card/position.
So I guess its about how long you play and how well you play in that position.
Im lucky and earned it in my first 2 or 3 months

Yes, we can the cards as well as positions. I got to play at CF and got a skill card of Super Sub
Hi, I don't know HOW we gain skill cards but I think it's something to do how much your player evolve...
I got 33 years old now, 6 skill cards(I started with 1), I won 2 skill cards at the end of the season when I was 29 years old, 1 card at 31 years old, and 2 more cards in the middle of the season when I was 32.
I think it's random...

its simple your player will get a new poss when you play in a different poss for your club or countryplay 5 or 6 games out of poss and you will lern a new 1..... and skill cards will automaticaly be added when your 32 i think....just get a 8.0 rating and you will get them you cant choose your own so i think its random

^^^ I don't think so,I tried to add "goal poacher" to my "Fox...", I've set up training for speed and dribble since my physical stats were very good, but so far no luck.I think game won't allow you to gain play style card.You'll need to create player with desired play style cards and then use him.
Same here. I rerolled my CMF until I got 'classic no.10' skill card. Could play DMF after 10 matches.
Maybe if your individual stats get high enough through training, your able to earn the relative cards.

The only dribble cards I wanted is speed merchant and turning skill or cruyff turn or whatever the name is in english. ohh my god! Konami, Why do you change always the rules? A bit late answer, but I did not notice it until now.
You can make your choices when creating a player, choose mold and place points, and if you're not happy with the result, you can go back and try again. Just choose "back" instead of "accept". Keep doing that until you've got Speed Merchant, or whatever else you want, within reason.
I got the outside curve card when I set up my AMF player. Dunno if it makes any difference to your passing (flicked through balls, etc), but it's no use to my guy for shooting, coz he can hardly get a shot of any sort off, never mind one with the outside of his boot, so not sure why it gave me that one over anything else :unsure:
I got super sub aswell but how the heck is it going to help me if i am a starter?
i think you get skill cards when your skill/technique stats are high, because if you remove all of Messi's skill cards then start BAL with him you start getting messages saying 'you aquired the _____ skill card'
for positions you have to be played out of position all the time, and perform with high ratings consecutively for severl matches, you then get told you are performing really well in that position, a couple of more decent games later you gain that position, although your overall rating wont be the same as your initial perferred postion it will be a lot closer than it was.
