Just wondering how you men like to get the ball in the net. Do you build up possetion patiently? or do you like you hit it wide to wingers and whip crosses in?. Or are you a bit of a longball specialist?. I try to be patient with the ball but i always end up trying to stab a high through ball over the top usually ending up getting knocked off the ball by defenders. Also are u heavy into tactics or just set a formation and go!

i love goalmouth scrambled goals, but generaly like to build up play.

Long rangers and headers are the only way I can score in this PES.

do you score through balls on professional or regular? I found that on professional it is almost only long shots or headers. AI never makes mistakes when closing down through balls. This is somewhat frustrating. On regular though through balls work time to time (realistic) and the game play is more fun, but cpu is dumbed down in attack too and in general too easy to win. I wish there was a level where they attack and score like on professional, but make mistakes in defense a bit more often like on regular.

with the team mate control all you have to do (in professional) is send them on a run and chip through ball almost immediately and youll be one vs one against the keepers, but sometimes (when the AI wants to be a douche and HAS to win) it will realize this and not let you pass it, it will slide tackle you, push you, or make your player glitch.
In the bar or at the beach...at the beach you can get a glimse at their bodies...

Honestly, I've always played on Top Player only. So far so good, CPU does make mistakes and I go thru a lot. I find it harder to score afterwards, one on ones are hard to score this year. Sometimes, even through balls from my own half make it through. Seriously, practice this as IMHO, it's one of the most important things so far. Yes headers go in as well but that's rather luck, same with shots from distance. Through balls are the key however, and most of the time you don't even need teammate control. Your forwards will simply make the run automatically, and they make it quite well this year.
It could be because i haven't installed any of the patches yet, although I don't think they change the code. Also still waiting for the official DLC.
I actually score all sorts of different goals. In PES 2011 offline it was mostly out to wings-Low/Near post cross-Header/Volley.
But in PES 2012, I mix up my play. Usually hold on to the ball in a heavy possession game, and look for gaps whether it's on the wings or down the middle. I find if I can keep hold of the ball and quickly move it from left to right and vice-versa, I can pull holes in the defence, create gaps for forwards to run into and exploit.
I never thought I'd be using the right stick to get players to make off the ball runs, but it seems a necessity to create enough chances to will games consistently. Plus I need to score a lot as I still suck balls at defending, but I am getting better at it.
As for long rangers which a lot of people have put, as I'm using the default ML team (Ruskin, Jaric, Stein etc....) If I try these they are more often than not going well wide or the keeper catches them.
Shooting a find a bit weird, most of my shots seem to go down the middle, which can be a bit frustrating when in 1-on-1s, I hear if you use the right trigger while shooting you can change the direction of the shot, but I haven't seen much evidence of this, but I might be just doing it wrong. When I'm in a good position to score I don't really want to be thinking about holding another button before I shoot, let's face it, a lot of chances I have, I only have a split second to get a shot away anyway.

I also struggle to score on professional and yea me to it seems to be headers and longshots. Big crouchy scored a header (surprise) last night to get me a 2-2 draw against bayern. If i use spurs i never start with him tho cause hes wank lol

I play on Top Player and all but a couple of my goals have been from corners, CPU is a bit naff at defending off the ball contol. I run from far post to near post and score pretty much everytime. Other than that my goals in open play either seem to be deflections or own goals.
