how do you obtain the special skills card?

im not talking about the green ones im on about the orangey red ones like nani has trickster and rooney has drop back and help out trezaguet has fox in the box? is there certain attributes to build up before they can achieve something like this?

you buy them by selecting the training menu and then specialised skills - here you can "train" an individual to either learn a new position or a new skill. The effect is not immediate taking an average of 8 weeks to learn the new skill before it is available during which time your player can not take part in regular training i.e not improving with the rest of the squad. It's not cheap either

yeah um i clearly stated not the green cards i know how to get them, im talking about the ones that only certain players seem to get if you look in the skill cards theres red and green ones i wana know how to get the red ones

yeah i was wondering the same cause id like to give scholes a pin point acurracy pass like carrick but not sure you can or even make them learn it maybe its jsut programed that way.

it's funny how you can give players silly things like 1-1 Keeper for outfielders. good for an emergency backup goalie? lol

I found that if you go to "EDIT" you can then select these cards for each individual player and it becomes active. Now, what I want to know is, why is there a red cross through the Player Card when you go to select it, it states "This card will have no effect under the current settings"

check your formation - for example if you're playing 4-3-3 and your trying to play a "classic no.10" player out of that position then the card will be greyed as it is not suited for your current team strategy.

its also depend on your player position. example, kuyt his dummy run wont work on his current position which is RMF. dummy run only work on CF
