I can't say I've counted. Scored loads though (got a few free-kick hat-tricks with players in matches).

2. One against a friend with my all time fave player Alonso then he goes and scores against me with his fave player Arteta. And one in training with Gerrard after about 50 tries.

lol, well I don't count training ones because you can have as many attempts as possible.

you must be really good, what are your free-kick tactics.

Kind of hard to explain but I'll give it a go.

For each kick you adjust where you aim based on the players curling ability, but I'm sure you know that already. For the curl I just hold left/right once the view goes from behind my player to the normal camera.

Less than 25m: Hold down, get around 1/3 power and hold X pretty much once the ball is airborne.

25m+: Don't hold a direction but get around half power (maybe a little more depending on distance) and hold X once the ball has cleared the wall.

32m+: Holding up get around 3/5 power and again hold X once the ball has reached the wall.

It takes practice but once you have it sorted you can score loads.

I've honestly scored countless direct FK's, and i reckon PES6 is alot easier than PES5.

My method is just to go into training and trial and error till i find the best way to score. Then form a system to repeat the action over and over.

Absolute Legend!!!
Scored 2 Freekicks in PES6.

One with Beckham and the other i cant remember.

I find them much harder on PES6, in PES5 i lost count on how many i scored they were too easy to score.

as with quite a few people in this thread I have only managed 2 I don't know whats happened to the fk in pes6 but they are a lot harder. I use the same method I used for we10 and pes 5 round the wall half way power or just under and holding up or x close in hardly no luck.

Nice one mate. I've been really shit at free-kicks in PES6, but PES5 they were pretty much like penalties. I'll give this a go.

Training mode is the key. Go on there and practice loads. Then when you play a game you can reap the benefits.

I've scored 3 , 2 with Mathieu and one with Barreto. All of these have come in my latest season so I think I may be getting the hang of it.

I think it's harder to score on this one due to the keepers. On Pro Evo 5 you could win freekicks on purpose. Safe in the knowledge that it was more or less a goal.

Well, I'm very happy because today I scored a free kick with Jesus Navas against Casillas which made me happier as I agree with the Messiah about how the keepers make it harder to score.

I've only managed to bag a couple, but lately I've been practicing in Training Mode as it's the only real way to consistantly improve. My best though has to be my most recent against a friend which I played on PES6 for the first time. He was obviously giving it the trash talk prior to the game as added banter. I had a free-kick on the edge, maybe a yard outside the box. I then slotted it underneath the wall and into the bottom corner smoothly. Picture the Ronaldinho goal recently scored and think Giggs on the opposite side, yes baby. Sure everyone knows the technique but just incase: Hold 'down' and tap 'circle' slightly.

Scored one with C.Ronaldo but it wasnt really clean it hit bottom of crossbar and went in. I was happy though.

But may i ask, what does holding X while the ball is airborne do??
