How to fix "out of form"

Hi

I have 2 questions.

First:
It is my 4th season with Atl. Madrid. Maxi Rodriguez is one of my stars. But he is 31 now and i decided to sell him before he's getting worse. I put him on transfer list. Nobody bought him due to his value (13m€). And now he always shows purple arrow. I always play with him to fix that but it does not work. He is still unhappy (a blank heart). But in his dossier it says "nothing suggesting that he is unhappy". I scored over 4 goals and made over 5 assists with him while he is out of form though.

Second:
Wijnaldum and Juan Mata are my favourite ones. But they wanted a huge amount to renew their contract. I changed the terms. They put on hold !! Is there a way to fix that?

First: when a player is unhappy...hes always out of form....when that happens the best thing to do is to loan him.

Second: you cnt fix it but if u make them play in the first team and take them out for one match once they're tired and make them happy they'll renew
