It was. But he was looking for ways to counter it, not asking if it was right or not. Also, more importantly, the title of the thread is 'Is anyone actually enjoying the game?'. I hope I am getting my point across properly because I am really out of practice on my English.:huh:

I'm very dissapointed with some game aspects. Even when i was one of the most enthusiastic with the DEMO. The first one was the night lighting; once i saw it, i hit reallity. It's a long road...yet.
As that, another things appears while exploring the game:
Commentary It is really dissapointing thing to start your first match ever in this game with this going on. Just rip them off and start again! :realmad:
Edition tools/Kits: Why Konami, why it is the same ******* thing? I want to create a decent uniform for my own ML team.
Stadiums: Why Konami, why again? You have more than that, are you gonna come on December and give us back the mising stadiums as they were new ones? :angry: Please don't, that could be a heart-breaker for me.
Coachs: All that teasing with coachs and you can't edit them so they appear at the edge of the field. It is always the same guy...
Myclub/Online: I had some good matches, i may accept that. But it is not the same game. The timing is very different. A first touch pass is almost an impossible thing to do sometimes. And you only can´t sign a good coach with golden coins? GUYS, someone!!? I hope the "finding people" problem it's solved at the end of this month, i can't play that "regular" CPU matches everytime, anymore.
Gameplay
- Some players stealing the ball from another in a better position/situation.
- Bad response to advanced thought passing. They made me miss loads of goals like this.
- Napoli is the black beast of scripting or my game went to the bad till the DEMO? Maybe winning almost all my games for more than 3 goals at La Liga matches spoiled it out! Napoli + Champions League = HELL itself.
About this last one, i still feed i need to play more, maybe there is another way...:hmm:

Mates, it simple to me: If what CPU does to win a game or score a goal it's possible to do by a real player, it's not scripting to me.

I've played a lot on 2010. Now i'm trying it again on myclub.
I consider scripting to those "always succesfull" moves by taking advantage of code errors.
In offline games IMO, is how i said.

I like the change of topic. This seems to have generated a lot of discussion. I'm excited to learn more about the tactical end of things, both for PES/FIFA and real life. What irks me most of all though, is when the game literally overrides what you're doing with the controller for the sake of some animation (e.g., the player doing the "I'm going to hop around like I'm ready for a counter" when you're desperately trying to get him to sprint toward the opposition goal).

Was saying the other day to someone else, that this is the only genre of videogame that does this. You don't play a shooter, press the shoot button and it decides to throw a grenade instead. You don't play a racing game, try to turn left and it decides to go right.

I wonder why only so few notice the scripting/handicapping.
As Ali stated, scripting (which is the same as the game's programming) is poor and a lot of PE players have just learned to live with it.
PES has driven down the standards for a lot of fans. Some leave whilst some stay and just ....well suck it up.
Then there are others who try to defend Konami's shitty work and proclaim that the poor programming of the game's AI or "scripting" ..does not exits.
Then there is Sabatasso who also have to add Fifa into the mix. Fifa's programming is perfect. The game does not suffer from sluggish game play, zombie defenders, poor animations, lags ...and most of all problems finding anyone else online playing PES of any kind.
Remember, there is a reason why Fifa is and has been the number 1 game in the world....this

I quit fifa this year because the game will alter your ability just at the time it may result in a goal or stopping a goal (nevermind the cpu increasing ability). Passing suddenly becomes shit when you get into the box even though was fine before that point / through balls slow down - then suddenly pick up speed so it can travel to the keeper to scoop up / keeper and defender clears will magically sail to the dmf over and over like it is on a video loop / my defenders would suddenly not close the gap when I am ahead in goals / Tackle the ball away from the CPU - it magically travels to another player, and even better when they tackle it away from me it becomes a pass to another CPU player. All these items and more made FIFA15 an absolute mess. FIFA programming is nothing near perfect or even passable as a game worth purchasing for $60

Passing in the box???? Do you mean passing out of your defense or passing in the opponents box?
Either way ...I usually clear my box with a huge kick up-field.

Next ..thru balls are pressure sensitive. So Fifa does not play like PES.
Tap the thru pass for a slow ball. If you choose a long thru ball. Lob it in the air ...instead of the ground.
Now....if every time your opponents clear the ball ...you receive it, wouldn't that be a bit unfair?
I have scored many goals from clearance .....for player who are trying to find a counter attacking player ....instead of hoofing the ball up-field.
Fifa is a great game....well maybe I am exaggerating a bit. But compared to PES...it is the best.
I fell soooo sorry for the few remaining PES players. :crymore:
Next gen my ass. PES plays better on Xbox 360 and PS3 than their successors. I wonder why?

Exactly. It makes no sense. I'm not a programmer (yet), but it would seem that overriding the player's choices would require more coding and hence cost than not. No one likes it. Every one is pissed off about it, and yet that's exactly what they pour their money into.
I hope this is what can be modified. It doesn't look like anyone has posted any mods for either game except for faces, balls, kits, etc. In other words, embroidering the towels on the Titanic. Hopefully something will come along.
I ran through the training exercises, so at least I'm not always caught totally threadbare on defense. It's made it more fun, but the override thing is still a big turd in my cereal.
