who Now I can say, after playing a few dozen games in TP, that never such thing happened to me. That does look like a bug, but not a recursive one. I doubt he can make that happen again in his next game, whereas "our" running bug happens as much as you like it to.

Very true. Thats why, at least for me, TP is the only solution so far.

Oh cmon, you know they would score an own goal. Pass to the keeper and he lets it goes under his feet. This is blatantly unrealistic.

I'm just surprised they managed to hold off the attacker for that long.

This happens a lot on Superstar as well. The opponent AI can clearly get the ball but he decided to move away from it.
The thing is sometimes the AI is very good at defending, then suddenly this happens. That sucks!:realmad:

It can be compared to the second goal in this video at 3:24. Sergio Ramos can do a better job moving to near the center of the goal but decided to be stupid in this particular instance, giving Giroud an open space for an easy goal. It's not satisfying to score like this.

optimistic,

hmm, interesting. The video works fine for me. Actually I dont use any dribbling at all, I just run straight forward and use arrows to turn my player to right and left when needed. I cant achieve the same results on Top Player, because contrary to SS, defenders come to help, instead of retreating and leaving me a completely empty corridor. Dont get me wrong I love playing football as close to real thing as possible. But there is that moment, inevitably, when you come closer to the box and try to use players individual skills and then funny stuff happens. I tryed to avoid it, not exploiting it too much, but it would happen so naturally.

Hi who
I get what you saying. PES is a fun game to enjoy without exploiting its design weakness, sometimes game's bug will give you more options to play and it just happened.

I still play SS LV, its a challenge for me while playing against top teams like Bayern, R madrid by using lesser teams without taking advantage of the game's bug, its not easy to find an open space and eventually score if you organize your attack on the move against Bayern, Baca. It feels great when you can beat those top teams on SS LV.

good luck

Thanks for all the responses....glad to see other folks are just as frustrated as me. And I play (forced to) share play with a buddy because dumb-ass Konami made the game SPEED BALL online and you are now, not able to lower the game speed. Why do game companies continue to change and ruin games????

...Why do game companies continue to change and ruin games????

That's so we'll hope that next year's version will be 'the one'. It's like battered-wife syndrome, why do we still buy games from companies that care very little for the consumer?

This is some good stuff!! I hope Konami will take a look at this and seriously consider at least few suggestions that would really improve the game.

Top Player level. It probably shows that it isint that stable either. In overall, I hope Konami will improve it at some point and sooner than PES 17 comes out. I saw lots of people tarnishing awfully bad goalkeepers and blaming them for ice-hockey or basketball results, but I doubt improved goalies will prevent scoring lots of goals. Its rather AI defence. This should be one of the main focuses for Konami. Im actually waiting for datapack that will be released on october 29, because they mentioned some gameplay improvements. Probably referees, goalkeepers, but I hope that maybe it will have some impact on defence as well. If Konami is aware of that problem at all. They seem to take twitter/facebook feedback most seriously. I think feedback from community sites with analysis, video proofs and recommendations would be much more valuable to them, but...

The Bias in all it's glory, an easy dealt with through ball turned into an unstoppable goal, this video is obviously more blatant the norm but it just shows this idiocy exists. the amount of times my players run away from the ball when they are the closest player too it is a huge issue that in itself can ruin a game, not that noticeable generally but against someone half decent online and it's glaring, when my team doesn't have "momentum" I feel like I'm physically fighting with my controller to get my players to move where I want them because they are constantly doing the opposite, running the wrong way, leaving massive gaps for through balls etc like it just is willing the opposition to score, then I can play another game and I will glide effortlessly around the pitch, intercepting passes, getting to every loose ball, banging in goals from all angles etc so I know I'm capable if the game allows. I feel sorry for the people I play when this is the case because I just can't help feeling if I am playing lag free(ish) then there end is probably suffering, which then makes me think well who would win this game on a level playing feel, I win more than I lose but it is somewhat meaningless when I half know it's down to what the computer dictates.

I haven't played this game since the first week it came out.

I check now and again for news about a patch on the goalkeepers because you can score so easily it breaks the game.

But as usual there is zero post release support from these guys.

I am happily playing fifa again, it is probably not as good gameplay but there is nothing majorly broken at least for the modes I play. I would like to be able to play this game again in a not broken state. If i hadn't bought it online (huge mistake) I would have sold it already.

I am not going to be buying PES again if this is the level of support they want to give us when there are serious problems with the game.

What is the point of playing a game on the hardest level when you can put 5 goals in every time?

I even tried playing a 3rd division team against a prem and won 5-0 or something ridiculous.

OP: I agree with the reviews of this game, total joke, its a 6-7 at best given its current state.

Have to agree with you. I imagined the full game differently as well. Goalkeepers/AI defence/Superstar level need to be sorted out. Konami said "minor gameplay changes" in the upcoming datapack/patch next week, but we know nothing about it and no one from PES team, nor Adam Bhatti can tell us what will be in it, since nothing is comfirmed yet. And we are talking about next week, when this long awaited pack comes out. Many people have lots of hope in it, that it somehow will make goalkeepers better, me, myself, I expect that Superstar level will be fixed and I wont be able to go straight past any defence I want, with any team I want, lower league, weak/strong club, doesnt make any difference. But... When you have a small line under the pack that says "minor gameplay changes" and no words about it until now. I really dont know what to expect. I know that in FIFA case, they release about 3-4 patches a year, to fix various stuff. Like improving defence (they done more harm than good last year, yeah, but at least they tryed) fixing some stuff in CM and so on. So, at least something is being done. While here, I dont really know if Konami are aware of the problems. They seem to entirely rely on twitter feedback and it wont do much good, since people ask for new faces, new players and some report like really serious problems, but with a limited amount of words, that twitter will let them. I wonder if people from PES read long, analyzed articles, like PES Russia makes, which sheds all the main problems and collects information/feedback from all main communities. Like most of the games in ML are being played at night time and people were tweeting about it almost from the beginning of game release . Some guy said he tweeted 50 tweets about it alone, not to mention others... It got an answer few days ago: "thanks for your suggestion, we will let the team know." So, apparently they even didnt know about it or whats even more complicated, they dont think there is a problem at all. Because it was perceived as a suggestion, rather than problem. Automatically, the solution will take even more time to come, if it will come at all. Since there are lots of stuff that are being sent to creators, but very little gets done. The same might go about defence, maybe they think there is nothing wrong with it. Goalkeepers took some notice, though. Something might be done with them.

In overall, I just really hope at least ONE TRUE PATCH, which would focus on bugs and serious problems, rather than minor changes there and there, that will come along new faces/boots/balls.

In your posting you wondered as to whether Konami are aware of the problems with the game- yes, they are aware! Just as 2K are aware of the problems with 2K16. I think we're at the stage in video gaming where these developers just don't care any more. We have little alternative, it's like they've all decided that it isn't in their best interests to make a game that actually works as it should.

I'm sick of the 'maybe next year...' attitude, this is the last year where a I pre-order a video game! These companies tend to bring out a really good version one year, then it's crap the year (or more) after that.

The Japanese used to be a very proud nation, they strove for excellence in everything they did, now they're victims of globalisation and the race to the bottom. It doesn't help when people make excuses for Konami's shoddy workmanship- loyalty cuts both ways, where's THEIR loyalty to the consumer?

How the hell could they release a game where the bloody goalkeepers couldn't even catch a cold? Yes, sometimes they make good saves, but other times they let the most week/benign shots go past them. The lack of refereeing is a joke as well, it really does spoil the game. The only game I'm happy with this year is FIFA 16, how's that for irony? I have to say though that I haven't actually hated a FIFA iteration since the debacle that was FIFA 2004.

I didn't like PES 2015 or 2016, I don't think Konami know what they are doing any more. I don't think anything could be as bad as PES 2008, but I'm tired of being 'stung' by Konami.

They need to either stop producing the game, or get serious, get rid of Bhatti, and start to listen to the consumer!!

Well Bhatti just reminds me of one of those tele-sales rats who do door-to-door sales. Turning up at your door in shiny suits, well groomed and an answer for everything, which all seems nice until you catch them huddled together at break chain-smoking, looking shifty, and bragging about how easy or stupid the customers are.

You do know he was sacked right? Because of all the issues surrouding the DLCs.
