Barca are easy to beat if u knw how, always concentrate on attacking Abidal as he is shit!! Also i sometimes push my Side Back, bk abit which helps nulify the famous CutBack goal.

suprisingly Barca are not too much of a problem if you know your way around their defense.

I stay away from the centre as Thuram/Milito/Marquez/Puyol can stop 80% of the balls with ease, however concentrate on crosses or pull backs from the line and that should do the job !!!

The best team to use would be Inter with the following attacking force...

the rest of the midfield is upto you, this is a solid formation with Vieira covering the CB and Chivu playing a free role in front of the keeper, Chivu would be a the last line of defense and playing him at CWP usualy stops the militious through passes and flair of the Barca attackers.

I play with Barça when going serious, not even using dinho. That Munich formation seems pretty weak, specially if you consider that is the same form barça with the difference that your CBs are much slower..

Truth is I don't play a lot with barça, even tough.. lol

I just play well, and yeh score more goals that barca - seeing as pes 08 does favour the attacking side - messi is lame when played by computer, he just shoots tame shots straight at the keeper

I've never had any trouble beating Barca, I find it harder to beat teams that dont come forward.

I remember i did a Master League with Valencia a few years ago and everytime i played Real or Barca i stuffed them but then Racing came along and either frustrated the hell out of me to 0-0 draw or they had one shot and scored and beat me 1-0.

IMO opinion, the best formation is a Villa Style 4-3-3.

With a tall post player up front (Carewand Ibrahimovi are good but Berbatov would be my choice because he is exceptional 1 on 1 and his touch is 99% perfect) then 2 speed merchants either side. It's not necessary to have a great passer, obviously that helps, but raw speed is the key (Aaron Lennon and Odonkor are perfect).

The midfield would consist of an AM, CM and DM. The Attacking midfielder being someone with good shooting ability, especially from distance. Speed isnt really necessary here but i can help (Gerrard, Lampard, Deco, Scholes, Stankovic etc are all good). The CM would a passer, nothing else really matters here (Xabi Alonso, Fabregas, De La Pena are good choices). The DM needs to be tall, good heading ability and with a bit of pace to get back if needed (Viera is undoubtetly the best in the game in this role but there are a few more out there, Essien and Mascherano although they dont have the height are good choices).

It would be a basic back four for with pacey passer at either side (Chivu on the left and Cordoba on the Right are good picks but in the Centre is where it matters most and Height, Strength and Pace are your No.1 priority (Rio Ferdinhand and Gallas are probably the ones i'd choose as ones right footed and ones left foooted)

It'd be the flying Dwarf, Shay Given in nets for me! I dont think there's another keeper in the game that consistently denies me 100% goal opportunities, he's outstanding!!

In this lineup you also got Good free kick and corner kick takers form each side (Chivu from the right and Gerrard from the left)

There's obviously flaws with this formation as there is with them all but i find i have a lot more success when playing this way.

Bastian is shitt simple as that and i very much doubt u scored 262 goals in 2 season with that flop.

Unless of course u were playing on amature.

The most my players scored in a season is 60 goals and that only cuz i dont play him all the time due to fatigue or and green,or blue arrow.

still no tactics ,nor where you play him or how ,just a boast that schweinsteiger is king and he scores goals for fun ,personally i play with newcastle and i find if i want owen to score i have the pass the ball to him too just like you do with schweingsteiger but that doesnt mean my one player in micheal owen single handedly beats barcelona by himself ,or that i proclaim him to be king

i find playing football a team game ,with a goal keeper to prevent goals a defence to break up their attack ,my midfield to pass and create ,and forewards to shoot/head to score

but what your implying doesnt make sense in a team enviroment ,ONE PLAYER CAN BEAT BARCELONA

does he save a shot from eto knock the ball to himself dribble past ronaldinihio ,deco ,ineista ,put a defence splitting pass to himself taking out turham and puyol then hit a thunderbolt shot past valdes

if so can you post a goal on the upload goals on this forum for us to marvel at it

No matter how good you may think your tactics are there is always a way to beat it. The idea is to keep people guessing, as for 130 goals per season from 1 man, im guessing the words top player are not in your vocabulary ?

I still refuse to play PES online as winning seems to be more important than playing the game which to me is pointless id rather play the computer and have a good game than play someone online and have the cutback goal scored every 5 mins. Variety is the spice of life, try it you may enjoy it.

He he shame this guy got banned but I can see why! I think that I feared clubs like Chelsea more than Barcelona! There certainly seem to be some teams that are very hard to play against but I think if you set the team up right then you can frustrate anyone and even pull of a result playing as a lowly team. I think that Helsingborg have done me proud against some of the big boys... what about you guys?

I used to be Barca all the time and got beat with them alot. I always like using the 4-3-3 formation, with a midfielder infront of the defenders and the other 2 mids on either wings. Just need to chop and change at times tho as playing online you get so many different styles of play, one of them are bound to beat you. I can't stand it online at the moment tho, as everyone either picks Barca or Brazil. Yeah fair enough they want to win, but surely being the same side all the time would bore them! But going back to the Barca topic, If the player picks Abidal at the back, just make sure you have a strong Right Midfielder and pacey, then you should be able to attack him and get passed. He is rather slow so anyone fast, (Lennon, S. Wright-Phillips) Or even a striker should do the trick. I don't know why the computer settings has Henry on the bench, that seems to help me alot lol
