You did what I did. When you're setting up Master League, you have to turn the Club Management option to "on" (in the past, it's automatically on), otherwise the club owner will make all money decisions.

The bad news is you'll probably have to start your ML over.

Why the fxk did Konami change the default setting? I have a feeling a lot of people are wasting their time with this.

So I wont be able to change my finance plan?

For example I know I have to sell some players in the first and the second season, but now looks like I have no money to receive and no money and worst!!

This maybe different but I have just noticed when I win a home game I get £1.28 mill (or something like that) but it never gets added to my total or go against my expected earnings. I have the Club Management option to "on". Any idea's?

I always get a 1 million + gate income after home games with my arsenal side! I'm not sure if it is because I am using the stadium that looks like wembley as my home ground... it's massive!

I'm pretty sure your Club Ranking/Fan Base affects it a lot. I doubt Stadium has much effect, since you can't upgrade them.

I did the same thing, didnt know why i wasnt making any money so started again and turned it on

Seems broken imo, even without control of finances the club should be generating an income throughout the year

I didn't turn the club management option to on at the start either. Im at the start of December just now, I was expecting money at the start of January for the transfer window opening I take it this isn't going to happen then. Is selling players the only way to get an income then?

It's EXTRA broken. In another thread, I detailed my experience at the start of the second year. Basically, the owner decided to give me a terribly low yearly budget that was actually LESS than the team's payroll. I would've had to cut $600,000 from the payroll (i.e. my 3 best players) to make it.

Yes, but I'd highly recommend starting over. You have no idea how much money your owner will budget to you at the start of the season. And FYI, in that mode, any money you have left over at the end of one year WILL NOT carry over into the next. The owner takes it all.

It's no good.

I started with the option to control my own finances and although most seem to be complaining, I'm wondering if the chairman controlling finances may in fact be more realistic, after all that's what happens in real life.

It needs to be correctly implemented though. If you get promoted or get into Europe he should give you a decent budget. Does this happen? Or do you always get left with a really low budget?
Also, at what point is the money taken? Do you have time to make transfers or change staff before the money is taken?

I agree that it's probably more realistic, especially if you were to start with an established team and an owner that was willing to give you a decent budget.

Starting with the bad ML regulars, though, it's just too challenging to get your team in a decent position for the start of the second season. True, I finished 14th in D2, and if there's anything that warrants a slim budget, it's that… but seriously, I made ONE transfer in season 1 (for $400,000) and promoted 3 players from the youth team. I wouldn't exactly call that wasteful spending, and I don't think it's too much to expect that your owner actually gives you enough money to cover your own payroll, let alone a transfer.

As for your final question - yes, you get a good amount of time at the end of the season to spend your money.

It could be a good mode, but it needs some work.
