International Breaks

They're stupid.

1) The knacker up your players for 2-4 games.
2) They sometimes occur AFTER a midweek league fixture (which has prompted me to create this thread).
3) If you're an international manager, the effect on your club team is minimal, but if you're not an international manager, it's massive. I do hope someone else can confirm this for me? I've been international manager for the past 2 seasons, but this season I couldn't be arsed, and I've noticed my players being more knackered after an international break.

They are absolute killers, especially considering some of my players, like McNair and Zaha, have improved and gotten call ups. It usually breaks down like 50% of my squad are called up, 30% are on blue/purple arrows and the other 20% are prospects, like Lingard and Perreira. It usually costs me points because I'll play a weak side but be forced to play Will Keane and Lingard up front and take zero of my chances.

It is minimal for the players of that country because you don't call them, lol. I'm managing Portugal for 2 years now and the only good effect it has had in my team is keeping Minandinho, Neves and Marcos Lopes rested.

The most stupid thing is having those international games during league games. International friendlies are played during league breaks IRL, why not in PES? At least it is better than on PES2013, where the int' games were the day before a UCL fixture. But now the players come even more tired and take longer to recover, so the ultimate result is the same

You get 30% of blue/purple arrows on the entire team, or only on the 50% that wasn't called for NT? Either way that is wayyyyy more than I've ever had. At most I get 2 purples at a time, and max of 3 blues if I have a purple. In a 30 player squad 30% is a lot...

the player's come back knackered and not able to play in the next league fixture only because the international game is always one day before your next match normally, where is the sense in that? this doesn't happen in real football so why are they putting int games and domestic games one day apart?

I'm talking about all my club players, even the ones for other nations. After the last international break I had, around 70-80% of my players were down to half fitness.
matthewjohn85 - the whole calendar in ML is fucked. For one, it only shows dates, not days. Secondly, CL matches are always played on a "Tuesday", not split over 2 days as they should be.

So you're saying that not being a NT manager makes your players from other NTs more tired? I've never noticed it, is there a big difference?

Well, I dunno. It could just be because of that run of club fixtures I had - ie having a midweek game, followed by international and straight after that another league match. Will have to see how it goes throughout the rest of the season.

The 30% of my squad that wasn't called up are blue/purple. Most of the United squad are 3/4/5 for condition and most of the 5's get called up so I'm left with the young players who are 3/4's. 30% of 17 is only about 5 so it isn't terrible but severely limits my options.

I have just taken over Brazil as my international team in my ML and I was wondering if you call up players from your own club team does it improve their development in your own team?
For example, I own Talisca (who is Brazilian) and I have selected him for the national team as a regular starter. If I continue to play him often, and he score/creates goals, will this increase and speed up his development process for my club team?
I am aware he will be more tired when returning from international duty but i’m willing to sacrifice him being slightly fatigued in order to fast track his development process.
Have any of you guys done the same in your save and does it work?

I wouldn't mind getting players back tired/bad form after internationals, but the opponent never seem to have any players chosen for the national team. Even if I know some of them are regular starters. My team is crippled to the death and the opponent is in prime condition. That's just stupid and only there to make the game more "challenging".
