irrational position change?

So here's what's up:

I started a fresh BaL season with a WF and choosing the only team actually offering me to play that position. It all goes fine and dandy and i'm playing great games (over 7.0 overall) until the manager decides for some reason to completely rearrange the team's formation and therefore screwing me off the team..

.. As if that wasn't enough, i decide to stick playing whenever and wherever (from CF to CB, seriously!?) they call for for me thus finishing the first season with a solid 6.6 overall rating compared to the situation, and transfer during the summer to a different team (also promising to play me as a WF).

Everything was going great, and i was begining to think i'll actually be able to play my position for the entire season.. until .. a little over 2 months into the season, the whole thing repeats itself again, and i'm stuck to either playing out of my position or spending valuable training points to learn a new position.. But the weirdest part this time was that the team's formation didn't even change at all! The only difference was that the manager ''renamed'' RWF and LWF positions as SS and kept everything else intact!

Is this some sort of a weird bug? Or does the game just despise WFs?

You should learn SMF and SS positions. this happened to me as a winger as well twice. so learn those positions and you'll be fine.

yeah, i've learned the SS position (only took 8 weeks with all 6 points used to train it), however, my overall rating as a SS is still ''only'' 72 (i'm 82 as a WF). I guess it's better than nothing, but i can't help but to feel annoyed by the fact it's basically mandatory for a WF to immediately learn a different position in order to be a part of a somewhat normal experience in BAL..

SMF will have a better overall than SS but it's better than nothing to have 72. I think teams should keep their formation constant throughout each half of a season. since in january you can move anyway

yeah, though i don't see the point of changing formation at all.. Maybe for a couple of matches during the season, but for the majority of time, the formation should stay the same.. at least that's my opinion, anyway

i signed as a CF for a team - i was 78 overall rating. 4 games into the season, they change the formation and make me a CMF. i rate 43 in that position!!

^well, i figure that even with the changed formation, your team still plays a CF in front, so all you really need to do is prove the manager you're worth replacing the current CF filling that position - and that's ''simply'' done by playing well (whatever your assigned position is).. And eventually, you should be in the starting team again..

..But yeah, the over frequent changing to the formation definently is annoying:/

Yeah im a SS and i play AMF which is alright but normally when you sign for a club they will tell you what positions you will be playing, that might have something to do with it.

Actually, that's the whole problem.. I intentionally chose the team that ''promised'' to only play me as a WF, yet after a month or so, they've changed the formation and i was forced to play basically anywhere from a CF to a CB!..

.. It's like the initial contract presented by the club doesn't really mean anything and they can simply alter it however they please!

Personally, i feel that the contracts should be more complex anyway. I'm talking a contract that would involve everything from negotiating the desired dress number (instead of changing it after you're already part of the team),to the minimum amount of matches you're guaranteed to play in, and of course, the positions you'll be required to play in.. With chances of negotiating these factors after every season.. And the most important part should be, that the club respects that agreement unconditionally.

Ah i see yeah it would be good to see proper contact layout where you sign for it and have all the stuff instead of a couple of things, though even then they may do what they please.

played me out of position

i signed as a CF for a team - i was 78 overall rating. 4 games into the season, they change the formation and make me a CMF. i rate 43 in that position!!

I encountered the same problem, I am in my second season and play as a CF(overall rating 69) for EAST LONDON, after 4 games, my team changed formation from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1, the team play me as a AMF instead of my initial CF position, my rating as AMF is 37.

thats not the worst yet, my team has 7 CFs including me, when i joined EAST LONDON, the team bought another young CF whose ov rating is 62 which i consider is actually surplus, i mean my team already has plenty of CFs like Carton Cole, Macarthy, other couple of CFs, and me, why need to buy another CF(the team already signed me), its ridiculous.

this must change in pes 2012 i hope
