As long as it's a "ted" file it should be possible right? But what about players who non exist in 2020? Like the original roberto carlos? How does he look like in 2020 then??

No you can not import previous years TED files......Just because it is a TED file, doesn't mean it will work. TED file is just the extension.

Most probably it will not even recognize it as something 'to import'.
