Is Master League as good as it always was?

It's been a while since I've posted here (I think). I was a huge PES fan back in the PS2 days and I even kept playing until PES 2010, but as much as I hate to admit it, in recent years Fifa has largely been the better game.

However as some of you may know, this years version is extremely buggy and the career mode especially has been rendered unplayable by some due to so many freezing issues. As an 'older' PES fan and lover of Master League modes of days gone by, career mode is the one and only reason I buy Fifa, so due to these glitches I'm really considering going back to my PES roots.

I really just wanted to know if this years version of Master League mode is just as good as it was back in the PES 5/6 days? I've heard lots of fans have been a little disappointed with the past few versions of PES, but that this years iteration is definitely a step back in the right direction. If this really is the case I don't think I'll hesitate in going back.

Gameplay is awesome, prefer it to FIFA 13 but I feel the Master League is just pretty much the same it's been for years with minor changes, needs to get more realistic like career mode in FIFA for me. Plus they need to stop these awesome youngsters coming through the youth system, it gets too easy and on that note they need to look at the player development. I've seen a few posts on here regarding a QPR teams progression over 5 seasons (i think) and the ratings are ridiculous.

I'd say give it a go mate, it's still good, I just want it to be better.
