Is PES2 Flawed??!!??

Iv'e been playing the Master League now for about 4 Months on extreme & I have noticed that some times the computer likes to control my players

Why is it strong players like Vieri/Batisuta/Rivaldo fall over so easily when you are playing Master League????

Why the good strikers miss easy headers on goal when you have whipped in a perfect cross??

Why is it some times when you press shotwith good strikers like Owen/Batisuta/Vieri/Crespo/Raul/Recoba etc etc does it pause ??? And then you either end up missing your shot or getting tackled?

Why is it sometimes/ a lot of the time when you are chasing the opponent does the computer change not to the nearest player you clicked but sometimes a player that is further away from the ball!!!!

Why is it why you pass the ball sometimes/a lot does your play not run to collect the ball??? Sometimes a simple bass is missed because the player stands there looking at it???

Why is it when you get tackled your player carrys on running for a second or so after when he has lost possesion of the ball???

Have KCET put all these flaws in the game on purpose so that PES3 will look superior to it???

Dont get me wrong, i like the game, but it has some major flaws in it, a lot of the flaws were carried over from PES1

Your replies would be very much appreciated as I am looking forward to when PES3 arrives but I hope it doesnt have the same gremlins

I understand all of your points here as they have pissed me off many times, but i suppose you can't make every pass, even the most simple passes are wasted in a real game you know. And as for shooting, i also know what your going through but again like the passes, you can't exactly make them all. I guess the makers of PES2 put all these 'flaws' as you put it so that the game would be more realistic rather than just to score virtually every time like FIFA.

bad positioning due to the ball being to high up... try moving away from the ball, but beware, makes it easier for defenders to clear it.

if they are in the middle of a dribble or have to shoot with their secondary leg, they wil pause.

i hated this in pes1 as well... its a bugger but its less of a problem now

it would be too easy to recover it, its a gameplay thing

for balancing and realism, at least thats how i see it, but i think people will disagree

I think, like others have pointed out, that if the players did everything correctly, never missed a ball, a shot, a cross, a tackle then the game would be much less realistic and alot less enjoyable.

Having said that the point you raised about the game changing to players further away from the ball really shits me and it needs to be fixed. Also when the players stand there like mongoloid chimps and watch the ball, another problem that needs fixing.

Furthermore I think you should be able to slide whenever you want. I hate trying to slide for a ball close to the keeper in one of those sprinting contests and the game not allowing me to go for the ball. I dont care if im gonna get sent off, its my decision.

To maybe improve the player switching, try putting it on completely manual mode.

I can usually slide at the keeper when I try to. It has only helped to score once for me. Maybe try tapping R1+R2 once to give you free control as you chase the ball. Could help.
