Retired master league players appearing as managers in 2012. Is this a p*ss take? If not what does this mean for the game. What role do managers have? Can you move clubs in master league?

I think there just trying to make it realistic as the old master league players would be getting older as the real players do so they have just used them as managers and introduced new players for the default master league team!
